Tamradhwaj Sahu
Tamradhwaj Sahu (born 6 August 1949) is an Indian politician of the INC. He is the current Home Minister of Chhattisgarh. He is a member of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly representing Durg Gramin. Political career Tamradhwaj Sahu was member of parliament to the 16th Lok Sabha from Durg (Lok Sabha constituency), Chhattisgarh. He won the 2014 Indian general election being an Indian National Congress candidate. Before becoming the Member of Parliament, he was a member of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly from 1998 until 2013. Currently, he is the Home Minister of Chhattisgarh. Political views Sahu is inspired by Chandulal Chandrakar, former Politician of Durg. He ventured into politics as a student. Bemetara District
Bemetara district is a new district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. The district was formally inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Raman Singh, on 13 January 2012. Shruti Singh, IAS became the first district collector. Bemetara has two administrative subdivisions, Bemetara and Saja. The present collector of Bemetara is Vilas Sandeepan Bhoskar, IAS. Vijay Baghel (born 15 August 1959) is an Indian politician who serves as the Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Durg as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Political career Baghel was first elected to Bhilai Municipal Council in 2000 as an Independent candidate. 2013 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Election
Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election 2013 was held in two phases on 11 and 19 November in Chhattisgarh state of India. The result was announced on 8 December. Incumbent ruling party BJP and Chief Minister Raman Singh retained the majority in assembly and formed government consequently for the third time. Polls Voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) along with EVMs was used in 1 assembly seat in Chhattisgarh elections. Chandulal Chandrakar
Chandulal Chandrakar (1 January 1920 – 2 February 1995) was an Indian journalist and politician who was a member of the 10th Lok Sabha representing Durg (Lok Sabha constituency) of Madhya Pradesh State. 2014 Indian General Election
General elections were held in India in nine phases from 7 April to 12 May 2014 to elect the members of the 16th Lok Sabha. With 834 million registered voters, they were the largest-ever elections in the world until being surpassed by the 2019 Indian general election, 2019 elections. Around 23.1 million or 2.7% of the total eligible voters were aged 18–19 years. A total of 8,251 candidates contested the 543 elected Lok Sabha seats. Members of the 16th Lok Sabha were elected during the 2014 Indian general election. The elections were conducted in 9 phases from 7 April 2014 to 12 May 2014 by the Election Commission of India. The results of the election were declared on 16 May 2014.
