The 12621 / 12622 ''Tamil Nadu Express'' is a superfast train of the Indian Railways. Accidents Tamil Nadu Express has traditionally been accident-prone, with many accidents occurring due to its speed which when inaugurated had a top speed of 130kph with orange coaches matching Rajdhani Exp. The top speed of the train was reduced after series of derailments and after major derailment of 14 coaches on 31 August 1981 at Asifabad Road Station in Telangana, in which 15 persons were killed and 39 injured. Express trains are express rail services of India. Express trains make a small number of stops, unlike ordinary passenger or local trains. Because of their limited stops, these trains are able to obtain the highest speeds of any trains in India. An express train is one where the average speed, excluding halts, is greater than 42 km/h. The 12625 / 12626 Kerala Superfast Express is a daily superfast express train of the Indian Railways that runs between and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala state. It is currently the longest-running daily Superfast train of Indian Railways (3027 km) and second-longest daily train in country after Avadh Assam Express (3115 km). Rail transport in Madhya Pradesh began in the year 1867 when Allahabad–Jabalpur branch line was opened in June 1867. The Etarsi to Jabalpur section was opened on 7 March 1870 by GIPR, linking up with EIR track at Jabalpur from Allahabad, and establishing connectivity between Mumbai and Kolkata. The 20807/20808 Hirakud SF Express is a tri-weekly express train which runs between Amritsar and Visakhapatnam. It passes through the cities of Delhi, Agra, Gwalior, Jhansi, Bilaspur, Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar and Brahmapur. It was initially introduced between Sambalpur and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station (Delhi) in 1992. Later in 2002 it was extended to Bhubaneswar and thereafter up to Visakhapatnam and Amritsar in the coming years. Etymology Hira means diamond and Kud means island in Sambalpuri language spoken in Western Odisha. Sambalpur was famous as an ancient diamond mine and reference about it can be found in the works of Claudius Ptolemy, Edward Gibbon, Jean-Baptiste Tavernier. Hirakud Express is named after the famous Hirakud Dam in Sambalpur, Odisha which is one of the longest dams of India. Samata Express
The 12807 / 12808 Samata Express is a superfast train between Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Hazrat Nizamuddin in New Delhi and is operated by South Coast Railways. This train is also known as Vizag Steel Samata Superfast Express and Queen of Visakhapatnam city. Earlier the frequency of the train was three days a week but it was extended to five days a week in 2011. With effect from 8 January 2011, the train departs Visakhapatnam on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Similarly, with effect from 10 January 2011 the train departs Hazrat Nizamuddin on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The average speed of the train is 60 km per hour.
