Tallulah, Louisiana
Tallulah is a city in and the parish seat of Madison Parish, Louisiana, Madison Parish in northeastern Louisiana, United States. The 2010 population was 7,335, a decrease of 1,854, or 20.2 percent, from the 9,189 recorded at the 2000 United States Census, 2000 census. As this was historically a center of agriculture since the antebellum years, producing cotton and pecans, Tallulah and the parish have long had majority-African American populations. The small city is now nearly 77 percent African American; the surrounding parish is 60 percent black. Mechanization and industrial agriculture have reduced the number of jobs, and many residents have moved since the mid-20th century to larger cities with more opportunities. Tallulah is the principal city of the Tallulah Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Madison Parish. ''Tickety Toc'' is an interactive preschool comedy computer-animated television series produced by The Foundation, part of Zodiak Media and FunnyFlux Entertainment. The first series consists of 52 episodes, each 11 minutes long, but is often shown as twenty-six blocks, each containing two episodes. The first series was acquired by Nick Jr. as part of a global deal. The series premiered in Asia on 19 April 2012 and was subsequently rolled out internationally with localised dubs. Talula
"Talula" is a song by American singer-songwriter Tori Amos, released as the second single from her third studio album, ''Boys for Pele'' (1996). It reached number 22 on the UK Singles Chart and appeared in the Jan de Bont film ''Twister''. The single version, titled "The Tornado Mix", is remixed by BT, who went on to work with Amos on " Blue Skies", and includes a minor dance beat. In the UK, "Talula (The Tornado Mix)" replaced the original version of the song on the album and eventual re-pressings in the US and Australia. BT also remixed an extended mix called the "Synesthasia Mix" which appeared on copies of the single. Meaning The song is about the concept of ideal woman and the fear of losing someone. Patrick Pierre Hernandez (born 6 April 1949) is a French singer who had a worldwide hit with "Born to Be Alive" in 1979. Biography Born to a Spanish father and an Italian mother in Le Blanc-Mesnil, Seine-Saint-Denis, Hernandez grew up in the 1960s and was interested in music. He toured dancehalls and ballrooms in southern France with a number of groups over the next decade. Hernández met his music partner Hervé Tholance, an arranger, guitarist, and vocalist, during that period. The two formed a duo and achieved local success backing French musicians such as Francis Cabrel, Laurent Voulzy, and the French group Gold.
