Talal Abu-Ghazaleh
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh ( ar, طلال أبو غزالة; born April 22, 1938) is the chairman and founder of the international Jordan-based organisation, the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org). Dubbed as the godfather of Arab accounting, Abu-Ghazaleh has also been credited for promoting the significance of Intellectual Property in the Arab World. Early life Born on April 22, 1938, in Jaffa, Palestine, eventually the 1948 war caused Abu-Ghazaleh to face exile to the Lebanese village of Ghaziyeh. Education While still an undergraduate at the American University of Beirut, he was a teacher and translator. The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), is an international holding company that operates out of more than 100 offices worldwide in the Arab region, Africa Europe, Asia and North America. The organisation is a leading provider of professional services having established a total of 60 member business entity, firms and societies since its inception, in addition to being an affiliate of the World Bank, the Register of Accountants and Auditors (Washington) and the UN Center for Transnational Corporations (UNCTC). Jaffa
Jaffa, in Hebrew Yafo ( he, יָפוֹ, ) and in Arabic Yafa ( ar, يَافَا) and also called Japho or Joppa, the southern and oldest part of Tel Aviv-Yafo, is an ancient port city in Israel. Jaffa is known for its association with the biblical stories of Jonah, Solomon and Saint Peter as well as the mythological story of Andromeda and Perseus, and later for its oranges. Today, Jaffa is one of Israel's mixed cities, with approximately 37% of the city being Arab. Etymology The town was mentioned in Egyptian sources and the Amarna letters as ''Yapu''.
