Tal Barahi Temple
Tal Barahi temple ( ne, तालबाराही मन्दिर) also known as ‘Lake Temple’ or ‘Barahi Temple’ is a Hindu temple of the goddess Barahi. It is the most important religious monument in Pokhara, Nepal. This temple is located on a small island in the middle of Phewa Lake. As the temple is situated on a small island, the only way to visit it is by boat. The temple is a symbol of manifestation of Ajima representing the female force. Devotees visit the temple in the Nepalese months of Baisakh (April-May) and Kartik (November-December). Gandaki Province ( ne, गण्डकी प्रदेश ) ), is one of the seven federal provinces established by the current constitution of Nepal which was promulgated on 20 September 2015. Pokhara is the province's capital city. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north, Bagmati Province to the east, Karnali Province to the west, and Lumbini Province and Bihar of India to the south. The total area of the province is 21,504 km2 - about 14.57% of the country's total area. According to the latest census, the population of the province was 2,403,757. Varahi
Varahi ( sa, वाराही, )) is also used as the name of the consort of Varaha, who is identified with Bhumi (the earth goddess). This consort is depicted in a human form., group=note is one of the Matrikas, a group of seven mother goddesses in the Hindu religion. Bearing the head of a sow, Varahi is the shakti (feminine energy) of Varaha, the boar avatar of the god Vishnu. In Nepal, she is called Barahi. In Rajasthan and Gujarat, she is venerated as Dandini. Varahi is more commonly venerated in the sect of the Goddess-oriented Shaktism, but also in Shaivism (devotees of Shiva) and Vaishnavism (devotees of Vishnu). Dashain or Bada'dashain, also referred as Bijaya Dashami in Sanskrit, is a major Hindu religious festival in Nepal. Pokhara ( ne, पोखरा, ) is a metropolis, metropolitan city in Nepal, which serves as the capital of Gandaki Province. Ajima
Ajima (Nepal Bhasa:अजिमा) is a group of goddesses of the Newar pantheon. These goddesses are respected by all sects and castes of Newars, both from Hindu and Buddhist religion. Bhadrakali Temple
Bhadrakali Temple ( Nepali :भद्रकाली मन्दिर) is a temple on the East of Pokhara in Kundahar, atop a small hill. It is dedicated to the Goddess Kali. Founded in the year 1817, the temple shrines the Hindu goddess of power and strength. Bhadrakali or Durga covers an area of 135 ropanies. There are two ways to reach atop: the eastern way has 292 steps to reach the temple while traversing from the southern part is only 265 steps. In the year 1817, the temple was previously known as “Mudule Thumpko." Currently, the temple stands at 230 feet above sea level, and it is surrounded by greenery, which give it a "peaceful environment."
