Gábor Takács-Nagy
Gábor Takács-Nagy (born 17 April 1956,''International Who's Who in Classical Music'' (25th edition). Routledge (London), p. 807 (2009) (). Budapest), is a Hungarian violinist and conductor. He began violin studies at age 8. He attended the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, where he won the Jenő Hubay prize. His teachers at the Liszt Academy included Ferenc Rados, András Mihály, and György Kurtág. In 1975, Takács-Nagy, Károly Schranz, Gábor Ormai and András Fejér founded the Takács Quartet. The quartet recorded for the Hungaroton and Decca labels. Takács-Nagy left the group in 1992 after developing hand stress, which forced him to stop playing the violin, and personal tensions arose within the quartet after it emigrated from Hungary to the United States. Bogi Takács (born 25 December 1983) is a Hungarian poet, writer, psycholinguist, editor, and translator. Takács is an intersex, agender trans Jewish writer who has written Torah-inspired Jewish-themed work, and uses ''e''/''em''/''eir''/''emself'' or ''they''/''them'' pronouns. Career Takács, who is disabled, has worked with a number of other writers on projects such as ''Disabled People Destroy''. Miklós Takács
Miklós Antal Imre Takács de Saár (Szombathely, Hungary, 1906 – Szombathely, 1967) was a Hungarian silviculturist and Social Democratic politician. He was a member of the Takács de Saár family. Takács studied at the Academy of Forestry in Győr and after his graduation worked as forest inspector first in Csepreg, then in Kőszegpaty, Nemescsó, Pusztacsó and Benkeháza. Between the world wars he published a number of articles and essays on forestry and beekeeping in Hungarian and German periodicals. In 1945, when Ferenc Szálasi's government had its headquarters around Kőszeg, Takács managed to save the lives of many Jews and prisoners of war. Upon the end of World War II, Takács became a member of the Hungarian Social Democratic Party and took part in elaboration of the agrarian reform in Hungary. Lajos Takács (August 21, 1924 (Maglód) – December 4, 2015) was a Hungarian mathematician, known for his contributions to probability theory and in particular, queueing theory. He wrote over two hundred scientific papers and six books. He studied at the Technical University of Budapest (1943-1948), taking courses with Charles Jordan and received an M.S. for his dissertation ''On a Probability-theoretical Investigation of Brownian Motion'' (1948). From 1945-48 he was a student assistant to Professor Zoltán Bay and participated in his famous experiment of receiving microwave echoes from the Moon (1946). Ákos Takács (born 14 February 1982) is a Hungarian former professional football player, who last played for Győri ETO FC. He has played four times for the Hungarian national team and scored one goal. Playing career Takács started his career for Hungarian clubs Goliát FC, BVSC and Vasas SC. In 2002, he moved to Hungarian champions Ferencvárosi TC. His stay in Ferencváros was cut short in 2006 due to the club's financial difficulties. This resulted in a relegation of the club to the Hungarian second division on 25 July 2006. Jenő Takács (; 25 September 1902 – 14 November 2005) was a Hungarian composer and pianist. Life and work Born in Cinfalva on 25 September 1902, he studied at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Joseph Marx in composition and Paul Weingarten in piano until 1926 at the University of Vienna counterpoint with Hans Gál and musicology with Guido Adler. Since 1920, he had already undertaken tours through Germany, Hungary and Yugoslavia.
