Takkar (1980 Film)
''Takkar'' () is a 1980 Hindi-language action film directed by K. Bapayya. It stars Ashok Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Jeetendra, Zeenat Aman and Jaya Prada, with music composed by R. D. Burman. It is produced by G. A. Seshagiri Rao under the Padmalaya Studios banner and presented by Krishna. The film is a remake of the Telugu movie '' Devudu Chesina Manushulu'' (1973). Krishna (Telugu Actor)
Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy (31 May 1943 – 15 November 2022), known mononymously as Krishna, was an Indian actor, director and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema. In a film career spanning five decades, he starred in more than 350 films in a variety of roles. He is referred to as "Superstar" in the Telugu states, Telugu media. In 2009, the government of India honoured him with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions to Cinema of India, Indian cinema. He was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Indian National Congress, Congress party in 1989. In 1997, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award – South in addition to Honorary doctorate from Andhra University in 2008. He died on 15 November 2022 due to cardiac arrest. Early life Anand Bakshi (Bakshi Anand Prakash Vaid) was born in Rawalpindi in the Punjab Province of British India (now in Punjab, Pakistan), on 21 July 1930 into a Mohyal Brahmin family of the Vaid clan. The family arrived in Delhi, via a Dakota aircraft after the Partition of India and then migrated to Pune, then Meerut and settled again finally in Delhi. Bakshi was fond of writing poetry since his youth, but he did this mostly as a private hobby. Leela Chitnis (''née'' Nagarkar; 9 September 1909 – 14 July 2003) was an Indian actress in the Indian film industry, active from 1930s to 1980s. In her early years she starred as a romantic lead, but she is best remembered for her later roles playing a virtuous and upright mother to leading stars.
