Take Off (WayV EP)
''Take Off'' is the first extended play (EP) by the Chinese boy band WayV. It was released on May 9, 2019, by Label V and SM Entertainment with a lead single of the same name. Consisting of three previously released songs and three new songs, it features participation from songwriters and production teams, such as The Stereotypes, LDN Noise, Yoo Young-jin, and others. Upon its release, the EP debuted at seventh on the ''Billboard'' World Albums Chart and claimed number one on the iTunes Top Album Chart in 30 regions. Meanwhile, "Take Off" peaked at number one on the QQ Music Popularity Real-time Chart. WayV ( zh, s=威神V, hp=WēiShén V; an initialism for We are your Vision) is a Chinese boy band and the fourth overall sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT, managed by SM Entertainment's Chinese sub-label, Label V. Matthew Yen
Yen (English: Matthew Yen, 1975 -) is a Taiwanese lyricist, writer, and A&R. He graduated from the Department of Land Economics, National Chengchi University. In 2008, he won the “Best Original Song” in the 45th Golden Horse Awards with the theme song for the movie "Cape No. 7 海角七號".
