Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab
The Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB; ) is a cultural center in Da'an District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is run by Taiwan Living Arts Foundation of the Ministry of Culture. History The building of the center used to be the former headquarters of the Republic of China Air Force. In April 2018, Culture Minister Cheng Li-chun announced the plan to transform the headquarters into an art and innovation space. It was then later transformed into the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab by Living Arts International and was opened to the public on 15 August 2018. Daan District (or Da-an District, Da'an, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, United States National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency District) is an important educational, commercial, residential and cultural District (Taiwan), district of Taipei, Taipei City, Republic of China (Taiwan). The name of the district means "great safety" or "great peace". History The district is named after Daiwan village () that was once located near the intersection of present-day Xinyi Road and Fuxing Road (Taipei), Fuxing S. Road. Zhongxiao Fuxing Metro Station
Zhongxiao Fuxing (, formerly transliterated as Chunghsiao Fuhsing Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. It had a ridership of 20.688 million entries and exits in 2017. Station overview The station has both underground and elevated sections: two levels are underground (servicing Blue Line) and four levels above ground (servicing Brown Line). The station has two side platforms, one island platform, and five exits. Brown Line platforms are equipped with platform screen doors and Blue Line platforms are equipped with automatic platform gates. Washrooms are located inside and outside the paid area of the station. The station is situated at the intersection of Zhongxiao East Road and Fuxing South Road. The Ministry of Culture (MOC, ) is the ministry of the Republic of China (Taiwan) that promotes cultural and creative industries. The ministry also maintains thNational Repository of Cultural Heritage History Established in 1981 by Executive Yuan, the ministry was initially called the Council for Cultural Affairs (CCA). The council was upgraded to ministerial level in May 2012 under the name Ministry of Culture. The ministry was inaugurated on 21 May 2012, in a ceremony attended by President Ma Ying-jeou, Premier Sean Chen and several prominent artists, including poet Chou Meng-tieh, film director Li Hsing and singer Lo Ta-yu. Republic Of China Air Force
The Republic of China Air Force, retroactively known by its historical name the Chinese Air Force and unofficially referred to as the Taiwanese Air Force, is the military aviation branch of the Republic of China Armed Forces, currently based in Taiwan. The ROCAF was founded in 1920 by the Kuomintang. While its historical name is sometimes used especially in domestic circles, it is not used as often internationally due to the current ambiguous political status of Taiwan and to avoid confusion with the People's Liberation Army Air Force of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Cheng Li-chun (; born 19 June 1969) is a Taiwanese politician. Early life Cheng is Hoklo Taiwanese, her ancestors came directly from southeastern Fujian. Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), branded as Metro Taipei, is a rapid transit system serving the areas of Taipei and New Taipei City, New Taipei in Taiwan, operated by the State-owned enterprise, government-owned Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation, which also operates the Maokong Gondola.
