''Tagesschau'' (German for ''Review of the Day'') is a German national and international television news service produced by the editorial staff of ARD-aktuell on behalf of the German public service broadcasting, public-service television network ARD (broadcaster), ARD. The main edition of the programme is aired at 20:00 (08:00 pm) on Das Erste. It is also simulcast on several ARD-affiliated networks, including NDR Fernsehen, RBB Fernsehen, SWR Fernsehen, WDR Fernsehen, hr-fernsehen, 3sat, Phoenix (German TV station), Phoenix, and ARD-alpha. It also broadcasts for most of the day on tagesschau24. In addition, recorded ''Tagesschau'' newscasts can also be seen via YouTube internationally. WDR Fernsehen is a German free-to-air television network owned and operated by Westdeutscher Rundfunk and serving North Rhine-Westphalia. It is one of the seven regional "third programmes" television stations that are offered within the federal ARD network. History The station began broadcasting on 17 December 1965, as ''Westdeutsches Fernsehen'' (WDF), changing its name to ''West 3'' in 1988, before settling for ''WDR Fernsehen'' in 1994. Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR; "Bavarian Broadcasting") is a public-service radio and television broadcaster, based in Munich, capital city of the Free State of Bavaria in Germany. Henning Lohner (born 17 July 1961) is a German-American composer and filmmaker. He is best known for his film scores written as a long-standing member of Hans Zimmer’s music cooperative Remote Control Productions.
