Tadeusz Kościuszko University Of Technology
Cracow University of Technology ( pl, Politechnika Krakowska im. Tadeusza Kościuszki) is a public university located in central Kraków, Poland, established in 1946 and, as an institution of higher learning granted full autonomy in 1954. Over 37,000 students graduated from the university to this day with degrees. Doctorate degrees were granted to 1200 persons and Habilitated degrees – to additional 300. The number of students admitted each year reaches 4500. Andrzej Mleczko
Andrzej Mleczko (born 5 January 1949) is a Polish illustrator, mostly known for his satirical activities. He is also connected with painting, book illustrations, adverts, scenography and posters. He has worked with Polish and foreign magazines, in which he has published more than 15,000 of his drawings. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of Cracow University of Technology. In 1982 in Kraków he opened his own art gallery. He also opened his own gallery in 2002 in Warsaw. In 2001 he co-hosted (with Paweł Pawlik) programme called ''Galeria Andrzeja Mleczki'' (''Gallery of Andrzej Mleczko'') on the radio station RMF FM . Michał Życzkowski
Michał Życzkowski (12 April 1930 – 24 May 2006) was a Polish mechanical engineer. Career Życzkowski was born in Kraków. In 1954 he graduated at the Tadeusz Kościuszko University of Technology, and in 1958 he received a diploma at the Imperial College London. He became Professor and doctor honoris causa of the Cracow University of Technology, full member of Polish Academy of Sciences and Polish Academy of Learning, Foreign Corresponding Member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. He was the youngest professor in the history of Poland during his time. He became professor at the age of 31. He advised 29 Ph.D. students, 11 of them were promoted to professors. He had four children, among them Karol Życzkowski. He died in his home city of Krakow. Tadeusz Parpan
Tadeusz Piotr Parpan (born 16 November 1919 in Kraków, died 21 April 1990, also in Kraków) was a Polish soccer player, also a graduate of the Kraków Technical University (Politechnika Krakowska). Parpan represented Cracovia (football club), Cracovia (1945–1950), Garbarnia Kraków (1951–52) and the Poland national team, he played in midfield, later - as a defender. With Cracovia, in 1948 was the champion of Poland, with the national team played in the late 1940s in 20 games, most of them as the captain. He was also one of candidates to play in the team of Europe in 1947. During Second World War was a member of the Armia Krajowa (Polish Home Army). After finishing career, worked as a coach and a teacher at Politechnika Krakowska. Up to this day Parpan is a well-remembered symbol of Cracovia's greatness. Marta Ingarden (born Marta Bińkowska 8 September 1921 – 18 January 2009) was a Polish and Ukrainian architect and engineer. Early life Ingarden was born on 8 September 1921 in Lviv. She graduated from the Queen Jadwiga Gymnasium and Secondary School in Lviv in 1939. Zdzisław Beksiński
Zdzisław Beksiński (; 24 February 192921 February 2005) was a Polish painter, photographer, and sculptor, specializing in the field of dystopian surrealism. Beksiński made his paintings and drawings in what he called either a Baroque or a Gothic manner. His creations were made mainly in two periods. The first period of work is generally considered to contain expressionistic color, with a strong style of "utopian realism" and surreal architecture, like a doomsday scenario. Marek Michał Grechuta (10 December 1945 – 9 October 2006) was a Polish singer, songwriter, composer, and lyricist. Early life Grechuta was born on 10 December 1945 in Zamość, Poland. He studied architecture at Tadeusz Kościuszko University of Technology in Kraków. Career While studying at university, he met the composer Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz. Together, they founded the student cabaret Anawa, in 1967. The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, also known as Ranking Web of Universities, is a ranking system for the world's universities based on a composite indicator that takes into account both the volume of the Web content (number of web pages and files) and the visibility and impact of these web publications according to the number of external inlinks (site citations) they received. The ranking is published by the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) located in Madrid.
