Tadas Sedekerskis
Tadas Sedekerskis (born January 17, 1998) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Cazoo Baskonia of the Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. Professional career During his early career at age of just thirteen Sedekerskis played for Kuršiai Neringa in the third-tier Lithuanian basketball league – RKL, averaging 10.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per 27 minutes. The following season, he joined NKL club Klaipėdos Nafta-Universitetas. In 2013, Sedekerskis signed a "1+2+3" contract with Baskonia of Spain. On May 10, 2014 Sedekerskis led Baskonia's junior team to a bronze medal after scoring 34 points (2-pointers: 7/10, 3-pointers: 4/11, FT: 8/11), grabbing 10 rebounds and making two steals. At the age of only 17, he debuted in Baskonia's men's team during a Liga ACB win against Joventut Badalona by 87–68. The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. 2016 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship
The 2016 FIBA U18 European Championship was the 33rd edition of the FIBA U18 European Championship. The competition was originally scheduled to take place in Samsun, Turkey, from 30 July to 7 August 2016, but was postponed indefinitely due to the political unrest in the country at the time. EuroBasket 2015 was the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia, making it the first EuroBasket held in more than one country. It started on 5 September and ended on 20 September 2015. The top two teams ( and ) qualified to the 2016 Summer Olympics. Laurynas Birutis (born 27 August 1997) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Žalgiris Kaunas of Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) and the EuroLeague. Martynas Varnas (born 21 January 1997) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Lietkabelis Panevėžys of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). He was selected to the 2015 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship All-Tournament Team after winning bronze medals with the Lithuania national team. The Nike Hoop Summit is an international men's basketball all-star game sponsored by Nike, held once a year since 1995, except from 2001–2003, which features the USA Basketball Men's Junior Select Team against a World Select Team of international players. The players demonstrate their skills and hope to attract attention from either NBA scouts or colleges. A number of current NBA players have participated in this event in the past. The National Basketball League (NKL) (), also known as 7bet-NKL for sponsorship reasons, is the second-tier basketball minor league in Lithuania.
