TSMP Law Corporation
The TSMP Law Corporation is a law firm in Singapore. History TSMP was founded in 1998 as Thio Su Mien & Partners. The founding partners included Thio Su Mien and Tan Bee Lian. In 2001, the partnership was dissolved, and a new law corporation was formed by Thio and her son, Thio Shen Yi, named TSMP Law Corporation. It later entered into a joint-law venture with Allens Arthur Robinson, an Australian law firm, in 2007, which allowed Allens to practice Singapore law through TSMP. The venture was eventually dissolved. In 2019, the partners of the firm formed a compliance consulting company, Integrium Private Limited. As of 2018, it had over 60 lawyers. Thio Su Mien
Thio Su Mien (nee Huang) is a Singaporean former legal academic and lawyer. She was the dean of the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Law from 1968 to 1971. Education and career Huang Su Mien was born to the Reverend Huang Yang Ying, the founding principal of the Anglican High School. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Malaya (now the National University of Singapore) in 1961, a member of the university's first batch of law graduates, and went on to teach at the faculty. In 1968, she was promoted to Vice-Dean and subsequently Dean of the faculty, making her the seventh dean of the faculty since its establishment in 1959. In 1971, she left academia to work in private practice. In the 1980s, she became a partner at the Singaporean firm Drew and Napier. Thio Shen Yi
Thio Shen Yi SC is a Singaporean lawyer who is a partner of the TSMP Law Corporation, alongside his mother Thio Su Mien and wife Stefanie Yuen-Thio. Education Thio completed an undergraduate law degree at the University of Cambridge in 1991. Career Thio was one of the founding members of TSMP Law Corporation, which was named after his mother Thio Su Mien. He and his wife Stefanie Yuen-Thio are its joint-managing partners. Thio was appointed Senior Counsel of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2008. Adrian Tan
Adrian Tan Gim Hai (born 1966) is a Singaporeans, Singaporean lawyer and author. Known for writing the The Teenage Textbook, Teenage Texbook series of books in the 1980s, he is the current president of the Law Society of Singapore and a partner at TSMP Law Corporation. Early life and education Tan was born in Singapore to a Hainanese family. His parents were both teachers, and he grew up in a Housing and Development Board, Housing Development Board (HDB) flat. As a child, Tan attended the Anglo-Chinese School and Hwa Chong Junior College. After his A-levels, he was offered a civil-service scholarship to study English in Britain, which would've required him to work as a civil servant after graduation.
