VSV TONEGIDO were a lower league club from the town of Voorburg, South Holland, Netherlands. The peak of the club's success was in 2002–03 when TONEGIDO won successive KNVB Amateur Cup's and the Dutch Amateur Super Cup. They went into administration during the 2009–10 season while they were playing in the Hoofdklasse and board eventually decided to disband the club after a vote among members. History The club was originally founded in 1921, but was short-lived and was disbanded after a short time. On 1 February 1924, the club was re-founded by some former members. The club's home kit consisted of a white shirt with the Voorburg coat of arms on the left chest, black shorts and black socks with a white collar. The club was traditionally located on the Rodelaan in Voorburg, but from 1 September 2005, TONEGIDO's home ground moved to Sportpark 't Loo in Voorburg. KNVB Amateur Cup
The KNVB Amateur Cup ( nl, KNVB Beker voor amateurs) was the cup competition for amateur football clubs in the Netherlands. The winner qualified until 2016 for the amateur super cup match against the national Hoofdklasse champion. The cup was contested by the winners of the district cups ( nl, districtsbekers) in the six districts of the Royal Dutch Football Association: West 1, West 2, South 1, South 2, East and North. The six teams faced each other in a knock-out competition, starting in the quarter-finals. Two clubs received a bye, but they had to play an away game in the semi-finals. The KNVB Amateur Cup was first contested in the 1980-81 season, replacing the KNVB Saturday Amateur Cup and KNVB Sunday Amateur Cup (''see Hoofdklasse#Background for more on Saturday and Sunday football in the Netherlands''). The KNVB District Cup ( nl, Districtsbeker) is a cup competition for amateur football clubs in the Netherlands. The competition is held in each of the six districts of the Royal Dutch Football Association. The 24 semi-finalists qualify for next-seasons KNVB Cup. Voorburg is a town and former municipality in the west part of the province of South Holland, Netherlands.
