Tennessee Library Association
The Tennessee Library Association (TLA) is a professional organization that offers support for library staff working in Tennessee. It is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. TLA was originally organized in Nashville, Tennessee, Nashville on May 29, 1902, by members of the Nashville Public Library staff and the Nashville Library Club and had 41 members by 1905. G.H. Baskette, president of the Nashville Public Library, was the first president of TLA and served from 1902 to 1913. The first annual meeting of the association was in Nashville on January 18, 1905 and had an opening address by James_B._Frazier, Governor Frazier. Temporal Light Artefacts (TLAs) are undesired effects in the visual perception of a human observer induced by temporal light modulations. Two well-known examples of such unwanted effects are flicker and stroboscopic effect. The term 'flicker' refers to directly visible light modulations at relatively low frequencies (80 Hz) and larger modulation levels. __TOC__ Relevance Various scientific committees have assessed the potential health, performance and safety-related aspects resulting from temporal light modulations. TLAs must be limited to certain levels to avoid annoyance due to the direct visibility by humans and to prevent potential health issues. GNU arch software is a distributed revision control system that is part of the GNU Project and licensed under the GNU General Public License. TLA Releasing is a US film distribution and production company owned by TLA Entertainment Group. In March 2011, a new LLC was formed for the operation. Its primary output is LGBT-related films from all over the world under the "TLA Releasing" label, as well as horror films under the label "Danger After Dark".
