T. V. Smith
Timothy "T. V." Smith (born 5 April 1956) is an English singer-songwriter who was part of punk rock, punk band The Adverts in the late 1970s. Since then he has fronted other bands, as well as pursuing a solo career. Biography Smith and Gaye Advert, Gaye Black (a.k.a. Gaye Advert) moved from, respectively, Okehampton in mid-Devon, and Bideford, a small coastal town in Devon, to form The Adverts in London in 1976. The Adverts are best known for their 1977 hit single "Gary Gilmore's Eyes" and acclaimed 1978 debut album ''Crossing the Red Sea with the Adverts''. Following unsuccessful follow-up album ''Cast of Thousands'', The Adverts split up in late 1979, and Smith formed a new band, T.V. Smith's Explorers. They were: Erik Russell (guitar), Stoner (bass guitarist), Colin Stoner (bass), Mel Wesson (keyboards) and David Sinclair (drums). Romford
Romford is a large town in east London and the administrative centre of the London Borough of Havering. It is located northeast of Charing Cross and is one of the major metropolitan centres identified in the London Plan. Karim Chmielinski (born October 9, 1969), known professionally as Casey Chaos, is an American singer and songwriter. His music has encompassed a number of styles, including hardcore punk, death rock, and metal. He is the frontman of the metal band Amen. Early life Karim Chmielinski was born in New York. Raymond Ian Burns (born 24 April 1954), known by the stage name Captain Sensible, is an English singer, songwriter and guitarist. Captain Sensible co-founded the punk rock band The Damned (band), the Damned, originally playing bass before switching to guitar. He embarked on a solo career during the 1980s, following a UK Singles Chart, UK number one hit with his cover of "Happy Talk (song), Happy Talk". ''Cast of Thousands'' was the Adverts' second album, released in 1979. It featured a noticeably different, more experimental sound than their debut effort, '' Crossing the Red Sea with The Adverts''. Background The album was produced by Tom Newman (known for his work on Mike Oldfield's ''Tubular Bells''), who played synthesizer on "I Will Walk You Home".
