T. S. Singh Deo
Tribhuvaneshwar Saran Singh Deo or T. S. Singh Deo (born 31 October 1952) is an Indian politician from Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, India. He is the current Health Minister of Chhattisgarh. He is also the current titular Maharaja of Surguja, with headquarters at Ambikapur. He was the last mentor to sit on the throne of Surguja. He is often referred to as "T.S. Baba" in his local constituency. Political career He is one of the most prominent and senior members of the Indian National Congress. Being from a royal family, he is the richest MLA of Chhattisgarh. He served as the Leader of Opposition in 4th Vidhan Sabha of Chhattisgarh. Currently, he is serving as a Cabinet Minister for Health in the Chhattisgarh government. T.S. Surguja State
Surguja State, was one of the main princely states of Central India during the period of the British Raj, even though it was not entitled to any gun salute. Formerly it was placed under the Central India Agency, but in 1905 it was transferred to the Eastern States Agency. The state spread over a vast mountainous area inhabited by many different people groups such as the Gond, Bhumij, Oraon, Panika, Korwa, Bhuiya, Kharwar, Munda, Chero, Rajwar, Nagesia and Santal. 2018 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Election
The 2018 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election was held to elect members to the Legislative Assembly of the Indian State of Chhattisgarh. The election was held in two phases for a total of 90 seats; the first for 18 seats in South Chhattisgarh was held on 12 November 2018, and the second for the remaining 72 were held on 20 November. The INC got a landslide victory winning 68 seats against the ruling BJP's 15 seats, and consequently formed the government after 15 years as opposition party. Incumbent Chief Minister Raman Singh resigned on 11 December, the day of counting and declaration of result, taking the responsibility for the defeat. 2013 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Election
Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election 2013 was held in two phases on 11 and 19 November in Chhattisgarh state of India. The result was announced on 8 December. Incumbent ruling party BJP and Chief Minister Raman Singh retained the majority in assembly and formed government consequently for the third time. Polls Voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) along with EVMs was used in 1 assembly seat in Chhattisgarh elections. The first phase in the Naxal-affected areas of Bastar, consisting 18 constituencies, voted on 11 November and had a 75.53% voter turnout. The second phase in the other 72 constituencies was held on 19 November and had a 74.7% turnout.
