''Sølvmunn'' (Silvermouth) is a Norwegian drama and family film from 1981 directed by Per Blom. The main roles are played by Tobias Asphaug and Jon Skolmen. Plot The film tells the story of a nine-year-old boy named Fredrik that lives with his father after his mother has left. The father and son stick together through thick and thin, but problems arise when Fredrik's father meets Tove. Much of the film is seen from the child's perspective. The film depicts how Fredrik, nicknamed ''Sølvmunn'' 'Silvermouth', experiences his own world and the world of adults. Reception ''Sølvmunn'' received a mixed reception from ''Arbeiderbladet'''s reviewer Bjørn Granum when it was released. Among other things, he wrote that "We can look forward to another well-executed child portrayal in Norwegian film, after '' Løperjenten'', '' Liten Ida'', and ''Zeppelin''." Jon Skolmen
Jon Skolmen (1 November 1940 – 28 March 2019) was a Norwegian actor and comedian who appeared in several Norwegian and Swedish films. He gained special recognition for his role as Ole Bramserud in ''Sällskapsresan'' (1980) opposite Lasse Åberg. Career Between 1963 and 1981, Skolmen was employed by the Norwegian state broadcasting company, NRK, where he most notably co-wrote and appeared in the show ''The Nor-Way to Broadcasting'' alongside Trond Kirkvaag. The show won the Golden Rose of Montreux and the Chaplin Award at the Montreux Television Festival in 1976. He also appeared on British children's television. William Nyrén
William Nyrén (March 19, 1920 – November 14, 1991) was a Norwegian actor. He appeared in stage roles in Oslo and in films. Nyrén was born in Oslo. He was imprisoned in Sachsenhausen, Germany, during the Second World War. After returning home, he was engaged with the newly launched Studio Theater until 1952. He also had several roles for NRK's Radio Theater and Television Theater, and he was a regular at the National Traveling Theater from 1954 to 1966. Turid Balke (25 July 1921 – 5 January 2000) was a Norwegian actress, playwright and artist. Biography Born in Kirkenes, she started her professional career at Trøndelag Teater in 1949. She would spend many of her years as an actress at Folketeatret and the famous Norwegian revue-stage Chat Noir. She was also an artist and a designer, even designing "proper" toys for children, but more importantly she would become one of the pioneers in Norwegian children's theatre.
