Per Blom (5 May 1946 – 13 February 2013) was a Norwegian film director. He was born in Søndre Land. Among his films are ''Anton'' from 1973, and ''Mors hus'' from 1974, based on a novel by Knut Faldbakken. Søndre Land is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Land. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Hov. A film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects and visualizes the screenplay (or script) while guiding the film crew and actors in the fulfilment of that vision. Knut Faldbakken
Knut Faldbakken (born 31 August 1941, in Hamar) is a Norwegian novelist. He studied psychology at Oslo University, and then worked as a journalist. Faldbakken visited a number of countries, working variously as a bookkeeper, sailor, and factory worker, and began writing books in 1967 while living in Paris. He was editor of the literary magazine ''Vinduet'' (''The Window'') between 1975 and 1979. His sons Stefan Faldbakken and Matias Faldbakken Matias Faldbakken (born 1973 in Hobro, Denmark) is a Norwegian artist and writer. Faldbakken studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Bergen and the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. ''Sølvmunn'' (Silvermouth) is a Norwegian drama and family film from 1981 directed by Per Blom. The main roles are played by Tobias Asphaug and Jon Skolmen. Plot The film tells the story of a nine-year-old boy named Fredrik that lives with his father after his mother has left. The father and son stick together through thick and thin, but problems arise when Fredrik's father meets Tove. Much of the film is seen from the child's perspective. The film depicts how Fredrik, nicknamed ''Sølvmunn'' 'Silvermouth', experiences his own world and the world of adults. Tarjei Vesaas
Tarjei Vesaas (20 August 1897 – 15 March 1970) was a Norwegian poet and novelist. Vesaas is widely considered to be one of Norway's greatest writers of the twentieth century and perhaps its most important since World War II. Biography Vesaas was born in Vinje, Telemark, Norway to Olav Vesaas (1870–1951), a farmer and Signe Øygarden (1870-1953), a teacher. He was the oldest of three sons. He was guilt-ridden by his refusal to take over the family farm, and this guilt permeates much of his authorship. He spent much of his youth in solitude, seeking comfort and solace in nature. He married the writer Halldis Moren Vesaas (the daughter of Sven Moren and the sister of Sigmund Moren) and moved to Midtbø in his home district of Vinje in 1934.
