Swimming At The 2010 Asian Games – Men's 4 × 200 Metre Freestyle Relay
The men's 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay event at the 2010 Asian Games took place on 15 November 2010 at Guangzhou Aoti Aquatics Centre. There were 12 teams who took part in this event. Two heats were held. The heat in which a team competed did not formally matter for advancement, as the teams with the top eight times from the both field qualified for the finals. China won the gold medal with 7 minutes 07.68 seconds. Before this Asian games, Japan got all 15 gold medals of men's 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay. It was the first time that Japan didn't win this event in Asian games. Zhang Lin (swimmer)
Zhang Lin (; born January 6, 1987) is a retired Chinese competitive male swimmer. He is an Olympic silver medalist, world champion, and the current world-record holder in the 800 metre freestyle. Early and personal life On January 6, 1987, Zhang was born in Haidian Deistrict, Beijing City. He is the second son to his parents Zhang Zhongquan (张仲泉) and Zhang Fenglan (张凤兰). He has an elder brother Zhang Cong (张琮) who is five years his senior. Both of his parents are employed by a property management company. Zhang began swimming at the age of seven. In 2000, he decided to be a professional swimmer. His swimming idol is Australian Grant Hackett. Zhang is an alumnus of Beijing 101 Middle School. Kim Yong-sik (swimmer)
Kim Yong-sik (; Hanja: 金容植; 25 July 1910 – 8 March 1985) was a South Korean football player and manager. He is esteemed as the godfather of the South Korean football. International career Kim played international football for both Japan and South Korea. When Korea was ruled by Japan, Kim was the only Korean footballer to be selected for the Japanese national team for the Summer Olympics. He contributed to Japan's victory by assisting the winning goal in the first round of the 1936 Summer Olympics against Sweden. After the Olympics, Kim joined Waseda University which had many Japan's national players, but he went back to Korea because of the discrimination about Koreans. Clement Lim (Lim Yong En, ; born 5 April 1993) is a Singaporean swimmer who competed in the 50m and 100m freestyle, the 50m breaststroke, the 4x100m medley relay, and the 4x100m and 4x200m freestyle relay. Lim represented Singapore at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG). In 2012, Lim was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), an incurable genetic disease that affects the spin and causes stiff and sore back, but went on to capture 4 gold medals at the 2013 and 2015 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games). Career At the 2009 SEA Games in Vientiane, Laos, Lim captured his first gold medal at the games with a game record time of 7:30.73s in the 4x200m freestyle relay event with teammates Marcus Cheah, Joshua Lim and Zach Ong. Pang Sheng Jun
Pang Sheng Jun (born 4 September 1992) is a Singaporean former national swimmer. Early life and education Pang started swimming from the age of four upon doctor's recommendation due to his asthma. He began competitive swimming at six years old. In 2014, he received an Outstanding Sports Achievement Award for swimming from the Singapore Sports School. He studied Sports Science and Management at the Nanyang Technological University. Career At the 2009 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Laos, Pang finished fourth in the men's 200m and 400m individual medleys. Pang participated at the 400m freestyle event, his only event, at the 2011 SEA Games. He finished fifth at the finals. Danny Yeo (born 1 June 1990) is a Singaporean swimmer. Career Yeo currently holds the national record in the Long Course (50m) for the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay together with Joseph Schooling, Quah Zheng Wen and Pang Sheng Jun and the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay with Joseph, Quah and Darren Lim.
