'' Swayamvaram ''is a 1999 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy drama film directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar and produced by Venkata Shyam Prasad under SP Entertainments. The film stars debutants Venu Thottempudi and Laya in lead roles. ''Swayamvaram'' also marks the screenwriting debut of Trivikram Srinivas who would later go on to become a noted filmmaker in Telugu cinema. ''Swayamvaram'' won four Nandi Awards. The film was remade in Tamil as ''Love Marriage'' (2001) and in Hindi as ''Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa'' (2002). Trivikram Srinivas (born Akella Naga Srinivasa Sarma; 7 November 1971), often credited as Trivikram, is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Telugu cinema. In 2021, he became one of the highest-paid directors in Cinema of South India, South Indian cinema. Ali (born 10 October 1967) is an Indian actor, comedian, and TV presenter who works predominantly in Telugu films and television. He acted in more than 1000 films in Telugu.
