Ironleg Sastri
Gunupudi Viswanath Sastri, popularly known by his screen name Ironleg Sastri, was an Indian comedian who predominantly worked in Telugu-language films. He acted in more than 150 films. E. V. V. Satyanarayana introduced him to Telugu Cinema. Life Ironlog Sastri was born in a Brahmin family in Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh, India. His birth name was Gunupudi Vishwanatha Sastry. He used to work as a priest for the movie inaugural functions. Director E. V. V. Satyanarayana offered him a role in Appula Appa Rao (1991) where he played the role of a priest with the name ''Ironleg Sastry''. Later he adopted this as his screen name. ''Maavichiguru'' () is a 1996 Indian Telugu-language drama film written and directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. The film is produced by P. Prema Khaidi ( Love prisoner) is 1990 Indian Telugu-language romantic film directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana starring Harish Kumar, Malashri, Sharada. It was the first hit film of E. V. V. Satyanarayana. The film was remade in Hindi as ''Prem Qaidi'' in 1991 with Harish Kumar and Karishma Kapoor. It was also remade in Kannada with the same name starring Vijay Raghavendra. ''Jamba Lakidi Pamba'' is a 1992 Indian Telugu-language fantasy comedy film written and directed by E. V. V. Satyanarayana. The film stars Naresh and Aamani (in her Telugu film debut). The film explores feminism and women's rights in a light-hearted manner and depicts the consequences when the male and female genders are reversed. The film is based on an old story EVV conceptualized while working under Jandhyala as an assistant director. It is also inspired by a play written by Madireddy Sulochana.
