Susanna Haavisto (born 20 October 1957, in Helsinki) is a Finnish actress and singer. She is the daughter of musician Jukka Haavisto and sister of musicians Olli and Janne Haavisto. She has taken part in several movies and TV programs. She was UNICEF National Ambassador in 1980. Jukka Haavisto
Juhani "Jukka" Haavisto (5 June 1930 – 24 November 2023) was a Finnish musician with the honorary title of music councilor. He also worked as a businessman in advertising business from 1959 to the 1990s, when he retired. However, he is perhaps best known for his work as a songwriter and for having played the vibraphone and the accordion in numerous bands. Olli Haavisto (born 30 May 1954, Pori, Finland) is a Finnish musician best known for playing the pedal steel guitar and the guitar. He is one of the most respected pedal steel guitarists in Finland, and he has worked as a session musician for numerous Finnish artists. He has played on ca. 1 850 songs on ca. 600 albums. He has also acted as producer on ca 50 albums. In addition to this, he has played ca. 5 000 gigs. Studies Haavisto studied the flute in the Espoo Music Institute during 1968–73. He also studied musicology and the English language at Helsinki University for five years in the 1970s. Janne Pekka Haavisto (born 28 November 1964 in Espoo, Finland) is a Finnish drummer, recording engineer and record producer. He has been a professional musician since the age of 16, that is, from 1983 on. Career as a musician In his youth, Haavisto attended the Sibelius High School in Helsinki and played drums in a band called Bablers together with e.g. Sam Yaffa and Arto Tamminen. The band made a record called ''Whats all about'' in 1980. At the age of 16 Haavisto was given, with the aid of his older brother Olli Haavisto, a job as a drummer for J. Karjalainen & Mustat Lasit (‘J. Karjalainen & The Dark Glasses’). He played with the band for 12 years. ''Ariel'' is a 1988 Finnish drama film directed and written by Aki Kaurismäki. The film tells the story of Taisto Kasurinen (Turo Pajala), a Finnish coal miner who must find a way to live in the big city after the mine closes. Taisto's friend is played by Matti Pellonpää, an actor who appeared in many of Kaurismäki's early films, before his death in 1995. This is the second film in Kaurismäki's Proletariat Trilogy ('' Shadows in Paradise'', ''Ariel'', and ''The Match Factory Girl'').
