The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) is a Nepali bar association, comprising the practising lawyers of the Supreme Court of Nepal. Hari Shankar Niraula is the current president of the association and Shuvan Raj Acharya is the secretary. Bar Association
A bar association is a professional association of lawyers as generally organized in countries following the Anglo-American types of jurisprudence. The word bar is derived from the old English/European custom of using a physical railing to separate the area in which court business is done from the viewing area for the general public. Some bar associations are responsible for the regulation of the legal profession in their jurisdiction; others are professional organizations dedicated to serving their members; in many cases, they are both. Nepali (; , ) is an Indo-Aryan language native to the Himalayas region of South Asia. It is the official, and most widely spoken, language of Nepal, where it also serves as a '' lingua franca''. The Supreme Court of Nepal ( ne, सर्वोच्च अदालत) is the highest court in Nepal. It has appellate jurisdiction over decisions of the seven High Courts (including eleven Benches of the High Courts) and extraordinary original jurisdiction. Daman Nath Dhungana
Daman Nath Dhungana is a Nepali politician and former house speaker. He played an instrumental role during the Nepal peace process between 2003 and 2009. His role as the first house speaker after the establishment of constitutional monarchy, in 1990, is considered exemplary. He returned to active politics in 2017 after a gap of 23 years. He is known for his vocal criticisms of the conduct of parliamentarians, including House Speaker and committee chairs, for what he considers, breaks from proper procedures and best practices. Subas Chandra Nemwang (Limbu) ( ne, सुवासचन्द्र नेम्वाङ (लिम्बु) , born 1953) is a Nepalese politician and the former chairman of Constituent Assembly of Nepal. He was the first elected Free Students Union chairman of Mahendra Ratna Campus in Ilam District, Ilam and also elected as general secretary of Nepal Bar Association in 1987.
