Hay And Stone
The Rasmus is a Finnish rock band that formed in 1994 in Helsinki while the band members were in upper comprehensive school.Main source of the band's history: The original band members were Lauri Ylönen (lead singer-songwriter), Eero Heinonen (bass), Pauli Rantasalmi (guitar) and Jarno Lahti (drums). Jarno Lahti left the year after and was replaced by Janne Heiskanen in 1995. Heiskanen quit the band in 1999 and was soon replaced by Aki Hakala. Pauli Rantasalmi left the band and was replaced by female guitarist Emilia "Emppu" Suhonen in 2022. Siiri Nordin
Siiri Nordin (born 15 October 1980) is a Finnish singer. She was the lead singer of the now defunct Finnish rock band Killer. Biography Nordin was born in Helsinki. In 2003, she had a solo hit with the song "Sydämeni osuman sai", included on the soundtrack of the movie '' Helmiä ja sikoja''. The song is a cover version of the David and Jonathan hit song "Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart". In 2004, Nordin took a break from music and took up boat carpentry. She entered a civil union with her girlfriend, Mirja, in the autumn. She has also worked as a taxi driver. In April 2006, she released a solo album called ''Me Too'', released by the Finnish label, Next Big Thing. In March 2008, she released the Finnish-language album ''Lyö Tahtia''. Pelle Miljoona
Pelle Miljoona (Literally “Clown Million”), real name Petri Samuli Tiili (born 10 February 1955 in Hamina, Finland) is a Finnish punk rock musician, who assembled his first band in 1977. His first single was ''Olen työtön'' (English: ''I am unemployed''). His biggest hit was in 1980 with ''Moottoritie on Kuuma'' (English: ''The motorway is Hot''). This is also the title of his best-known album. Members of the band playing on that album include Andy McCoy and Sam Yaffa. Another well-known song by one of his groups is ''Tahdon rakastella sinua'' (English: ''I Want to Make Love to You''). This is usually considered to be Pelle Miljoona's song although it was sung by Tumppi Varonen, Pelle Miljoona on drums. Norther
Norther was a Finnish melodic death metal band from Espoo formed in 1996 and broke up in 2012. History Norther formed under the name Requiem (Lindroos, Korpas, Hallio) in 1996 after various early stage band formations. The band's debut effort was the album, ''Dreams of Endless War'', released through Spinefarm Records in 2002. The album entered the Finnish charts at position 17. At the time, Norther was playing shows only in and around the Helsinki area. That changed when the album ''Mirror of Madness'' came out in early 2003 (entering the Finnish charts at position 11). The group toured with Dimmu Borgir and Hypocrisy in late 2003. In early 2004, Norther released its third full-length album, ''Death Unlimited,'' which reached 17 on the Finnish charts. The Lighthouse Project, officially named The Lighthouse at Long Island, was a proposed transformation of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum and the area surrounding it into a modern suburban area. The project was first introduced by New York Islanders owner Charles Wang. The base of the project was a newly renovated Coliseum for the New York Islanders to play in. Surrounding the Coliseum would be houses, offices, restaurants, and various stores, as well as Long Island's first five-star hotel. There would also be an athletic complex, conference and exhibition facilities, and a minor league baseball ballpark. Eternal Tears of Sorrow (commonly abbreviated to EToS) is a Finnish symphonic/melodic death metal band formed in Pudasjärvi. Biography The band was formed in 1994 by Jarmo Puolakanaho, Altti Veteläinen and Olli-Pekka Törrö, after various projects that featured people who became members of Eternal Tears of Sorrow. Andromeda, a first death/doom/thrash metal project, had been put on hold in late 1992 because the rehearsal place had burned down. They could not find a new rehearsal place in their hometown, so the three members started a new side-project (M.D.C.) and recorded a demo tape, ''Beyond The Fantasy'' in autumn 1993.
