This list describes characters from the anime and manga series '' Doraemon''. Also listed are their original NTV voice actors (1973), followed by their TV Asahi voice actors (1979–2005; 2005–present). Part of the 22nd century characters are listed in The Doraemons. Each main character represents a primary school student archetype. Nobita and Doraemon appears in every episode of the anime. Note: In some translations of '' Doraemon'', the names of these characters are different from the original names. Main characters Doraemon , known as Albert in the Cinar dub of the series, is the title character and co-protagonist of the series. He is a cat-like robot from the future. Tomokazu Seki
is a Japanese voice actor and singer. He has previously worked with Haikyō. He is honorary president of and affiliated with Atomic Monkey and the chairman of theater company HeroHero Q. He is a special lecturer at Japan Newart College. Career Seki landed his first role in 1993 anime ''Mobile Suit Victory Gundam'' as Tomache Massarik. Doraemon
''Doraemon'' ( ja, ドラえもん ) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Fujiko F. Fujio. The manga was first serialized in December 1969, with List of Doraemon chapters, its 1,345 individual chapters compiled into 45 ''tankōbon'' volumes and published by Shogakukan from 1970 to 1996. The story revolves around an earless robotic cat named Doraemon (character), Doraemon, who Time travel, travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a boy named Nobita Nobi. The manga spawned a media franchise. Three anime TV series have been adapted in Doraemon (1973 TV series), 1973, Doraemon (1979 TV series), 1979, and Doraemon (2005 TV series), 2005. Doraemon (2005 TV Series)
is the most recent anime TV series based on Fujiko F. Fujio's manga of the same name. Produced by Shin-Ei Animation and Asatsu-DK, it began airing on TV Asahi on April 15, 2005. It also airs in over 50 countries worldwide. This Doraemon anime series is sometimes referred to in Asia as the Mizuta Edition (水田版), after Wasabi Mizuta, the voice actress who voices Doraemon in this series. The anime is licensed by Viz Media for broadcast rights only. An English dub produced by Bang Zoom! Entertainment aired on Disney XD in the USA as ''Doraemon: Gadget Cat From the Future'' from July 7, 2014 until May 12, 2017. A second season of the English dub premiered on Disney XD on June 15, 2015 and ended on September 1 of the same year. TV Asahi currently holds distribution and licensing rights to Doraemon. Kazue Takahashi
, known by the stage name , was a Japanese actress and voice actress. Kazue was best known as the voice of Shoutarou Kaneda ("Jimmy Sparks") in ''Tetsujin 28-go'' ("Gigantor"). She debuted in 1949. Kazue was also known for roles in Kaiju Booska and Sazae-san. Kazue graduated from Kasei-Gakuin University. In February 1998, she came down with myelodysplastic syndrome and was transported to the Bunkyo-ku Tokyo University hospital. Three days after her 70th birthday, Kazue died in the Bunkyo-ku Tokyo University hospital annex. She presumably died from bone marrow cancer. In February 2010, she received a posthumous "Special Merit Award" from the 4th Seiyū Awards. Four-dimensional Space
A four-dimensional space (4D) is a mathematical extension of the concept of three-dimensional or 3D space. Three-dimensional space is the simplest possible abstraction of the observation that one only needs three numbers, called ''dimensions'', to describe the sizes or locations of objects in the everyday world. Dorayaki
is a type of Japanese confection. It consists of two small pancake-like patties made from castella wrapped around a filling of sweet azuki bean paste. The original dorayaki consisted of only one layer. Its current shape was invented in 1914 by ''Usagiya'' in the Ueno district of Tokyo. In Japanese, ''dora'' means "gong", and because of the similarity of the shapes, this is probably the origin of the name of the sweet. Legend has it that the first dorayaki were made when a samurai named Benkei forgot his gong (''dora'') upon leaving a farmer's home where he was hiding, and the farmer subsequently used the gong to fry the pancakes. Regional variation In the Kansai area, this sweet is often called ''mikasa'' ().
