Sujawal District
Sujawal District ( sd, سجاول ضلعو, ur, ) is a district of the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is located at 24°36'23" North and 68°4'19" East and is bordered in the northwest by the Indus river, which separates it from Thatta District. The district has an area of 7335 km2. Administration Sujawal District is subdivided into five tehsils: * Jati, * Kharo Chan, * Mirpur Bathoro Tehsil, * Shah Bandar Tehsil * and Sujawal Tehsil. History and geography The decision to divide Thatta District into two districts by the provincial government was made on 12 October 2013 through a notification issued by the Revenue Department of Sindh. There are thirty districts in the Pakistan province of Sindh. These districts together contain 119 tehsils, 1100 Union Councils and 66,923 human settlements, as per the 1998 census. It is a subdistrict of the area within a district including the designated populated place that serves as its administrative centre, with possible additional towns, and usually a number of villages. Keti Bunder
The Keti Bandar Port ( ur, ) is a port on the Arabian Sea, in the Thatta District, Sindh, Pakistan. The port was built on the remains of the older seaport of Debal where Muhammad bin Qasim and his army arrived from Iraq. Keti Bandar is approximately 150 highway kilometers from Karachi, with a driving time of around 3.5 to 4 hours. Two of the larger towns on the route from Karachi to Keti Bandar are Gharo and Mirpur Sakro. Economy Keti Bandar Project was planned to build a port and power station at Keti Bandar. The Keti Bandar economy completely relies upon fishing and the entire village is dependent on the fishermen who sometimes spend days at a time on their boats in the Arabian Sea. As these fishermen return with their catch they display their products in the open market, where buyers collect the fish and transport it to Karachi. Mirpur Sakro
Mirpur Sakro ( sd, ميرپورساڪرو,) is a village located 33 km away from Thatta. while it is 85 km away from Karachi. Mirpur Sakro is at an altitude of 35 meters. It is a small area having a population of around 17,500 settled in a scattered form. The native language spoken here is Sindhi. The most prominent aspects of this village is its connectivity to 88-km-long Gharo-Keti Bunder highway and the Sakro Qabrustan (graveyard) which is around 2 km wide located in the middle of the village. Mirpur Sakro is accessed by both cars and busses. People of the Sakro area usually work in fields and are farmers by profession or they are somehow linked to agriculture to support their livelihood. Thatta
Thatta ( sd, ٺٽو; ) is a city in the Pakistani province of Sindh. Thatta was the medieval capital of Sindh, and served as the seat of power for three successive dynasties. Thatta's historic significance has yielded several monuments in and around the city. Thatta's Makli Necropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is site of one of the world's largest cemeteries and has numerous monumental tombs built between the 14th and 18th centuries designed in a syncretic funerary style characteristic of lower Sindh. Sujawal Tehsil
Sujawal ( ur, ), town is headquarter of Sujawal district of Sindh. Previously, it was Sub Divisional Headquarter of Sujawal Sub Division of Thatta District, Sindh, Pakistan. The Government of Sindh has granted Sujawal the status of a district and after the approval of Chief Minister Sindh, a notification has been issued by Revenue Department on 12 October 2013.
