Sugartooth
Sugartooth is an alternative rock band that was formed in the early 1990s. Timothy Michael Gruse (guitar), Josh Blum (bass), Dave Fortman (guitar) and Joey Castillo (drums) formed the group after meeting each other in the Southern California band circuit while playing in separate groups. After the departure of their original singer, Marc Hutner joined the band as the singer. But it wasn't until Dave Fortman left Sugartooth to join Ugly Kid Joe that Marc was able to play guitar in addition to singing. They immediately gained a lot of attention from label once their demo was sent around. After a huge bidding war, the band signed with Capitol Records. They then recorded the record at Pachyderm Studios Studio in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. Those recordings were soon scrapped and re-recorded in Los Angeles. For some reason, Capitol didn't want to release the album, and dropped the band, but also gave them the full masters to shop for another record deal. Geffen Records signed the band ... Joey Castillo
Joseph William Castillo (born March 30, 1966) is an American musician and songwriter. He is best known for being the drummer of the hard rock band Queens of the Stone Age from 2002 to 2012. He is currently a member of Circle Jerks, The Bronx and Zakk Sabbath, with former bands including Danzig, Wasted Youth, Eagles of Death Metal, California Breed, Sugartooth, Zilch, and Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts. From 1994 to 2002, Castillo was the drummer of Danzig, recording three studio albums with the band before joining Queens of the Stone Age in 2002 to tour in support of their breakthrough album, ''Songs for the Deaf''. He recorded two albums, ''Lullabies to Paralyze'' (2005), '' Era Vulgaris'' (2007), and half of '' ...Like Clockwork'' (2013) before being fired by founding member Josh Homme during the process. Dave Kushner
David Kushner (born November 16, 1966) is an American musician perhaps best known as the rhythm guitarist for the hard rock supergroup Velvet Revolver. Kushner has also been a member of Wasted Youth, Electric Love Hogs, Loaded, Danzig, Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro's solo band, Sugartooth, Zilch while he has also recorded with Infectious Grooves, Cyco Miko and more recently collaborated with Scars on Broadway guitarist Franky Perez releasing songs under the pseudonym of DKFXP, a combination of the initials of Perez and Kushner, as well as working with Indian singer and actress Shruti Haasan. Dave Fortman (born July 11, 1967) is an American record producer and musician. He is the guitarist for rock band Ugly Kid Joe, and has worked with bands such as Superjoint Ritual, Snot, Atomship, Eyehategod, Mudvayne, Otep, Slipknot (on their fourth studio album, titled ''All Hope Is Gone''), and Simple Plan, as well as on both of Evanescence's multi-platinum selling albums ''The Open Door'' and ''Fallen''. Early years Fortman was born in Orlando, Florida. His mother Marge Ann Singleton Fortman was a Kindergarten teacher and his father Jon Richey Fortman a retired Biology Professor. DGC Records (an initialism for the David Geffen Company) was an American record label that operated as a division of Interscope Geffen A&M Records, which is owned by the Universal Music Group. History DGC Records was launched in 1990 as a subsidiary label of Geffen Records and was distributed by Warner Bros. Records until 1991, when it was acquired by MCA Music Entertainment Group. Wasted Youth (also known as LA's Wasted Youth) was an early 1980s hardcore punk band from Los Angeles, California. The band followed in the footsteps of Black Flag and the Circle Jerks. Goatsnake is an American stoner/doom metal band from Los Angeles, California. They have released three studio albums, the first being 1999's '' Goatsnake Vol. 1''. Biography Goatsnake was formed in 1996 after the disbanding of The Obsessed. Dusty Watson
Dustin "Dusty" Watson is an American drummer who has played in a number of notable bands, as well as backed up famous solo artists. Earning a scholarship to Stan Kenton Band Clinics and joining the Musicians Union at age 17 allowed Dusty to become a professional drummer at a young age. He formed local California punk band The Press and by the end of the 1970s he was also an original member of Jon and the Nightriders and The Stepmothers. After leaving The Runaways, Lita Ford asked Dusty to join her original line up and he recorded her debut album, '' Out for Blood,'' and toured with her from 1980 through 1984. After that he joined the band Legs Diamond, whom he would play with until 1993. Candlebox is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington. Since its formation in 1990, the group has released seven studio albums, several charting singles, a compilation, and a CD+DVD. Candlebox found immediate success with the release of its self-titled debut album in July 1993. ''Candlebox'' featured four singles: "Change", "You", " Far Behind" and "Cover Me".
