''Pain Agency'' is the second album by Scottish rock band Sucioperro, released on 4 May 2009 by Maybe Records. Overview Pain Agency was recorded in the band's studio in Ayr between June and October 2007. A video entitled 'The Making of Pain Agency' was created and posted on the band'YouTube page'Dragon's Pain Agency' a diary of events between the 10 June – 12 July written by the lead singer, was made available online from 16 July 2007 and includes information about recording developments, song titles, eating habits and progress through the computer game ' Black'. ''The Heart String & How to Pull It'' is the third album by Scottish rock band Sucioperro, released on 7 March 2011 by Xtra Mile Recordings. Overview The band financed the making of the album and completed most of the recording themselves at their beastin' studio, The Lair. The record was produced by the band, mixed by Chris Sheldon, and mastered by Chris Gordon. The artwork was once again done by bassist Stewart Chown, in collaboration with longtime Sucioperro photographer Gordon Burniston. In order to fund the publication and promotion of the album, and the March/April 2011 tour, the fan-funding intermediary Pledgemusic was used, which gave fans the opportunity to take up some special offers from the band. ''Mums' Bad Punk Music'' is a single released by Sucioperro on 17 November 2008 through Maybe Records. Overview The release of the band's second album, Pain Agency, was thwarted by several delays which prompted the release of "Mums' Bad Punk Music". The single contains a set of the band's heavier songs and, at the time, it gave some indication of what to expect from the forthcoming second album. Around the time of the release the band embarked on a small tour, including dates in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London. The title track received airplay from BBC Radio One DJ, Vic Galloway. ''Random Acts of Intimacy'' is the debut album by Scottish rock band, Sucioperro, released on 12 June 2006 by Captains of Industry. Overview "The Crushing Of The Little People" was featured on the "''Kerrang! New Breed''" double album compilation. Three singles were released from the album - free 'taster' download "Wolf Carnival"; "Dialog On The 2" and "The Drop" were released on CD and were accompanied by two b-sides each. "Grace & Out Of Me" was later released as a free download to coincide with the band's tour with Surrey rockers Reuben - with the accompanying music video directed by Reuben's Jamie Lenman. Marmaduke Duke are a Scottish conceptual rock duo from Ayrshire, Scotland, comprising Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro and JP Reid of Sucioperro. Within the band, the pair perform under the pseudonyms The Atmosphere and The Dragon respectively. According to Neil, the band, and its albums, are "based on a trilogy of unreleased manuscripts that a friend of ours brought to this country a few years ago. Chris Sheldon (born 25 September 1962) is an English record producer, particularly of rock music based in London, England. He has produced or mixed records for the Foo Fighters, Garbage, Big Country, Feeder, Therapy?, Biffy Clyro, Oceansize, Pixies and Shed 7. He lives in London, is married and has two daughters. Career Sheldon was born in Pakistan when his parents were posted abroad for work and grew up in Surrey. He took his first steps in the music industry when he was a drummer in several local punk bands. In the mid-1980s he worked as engineer in productions of artists such as Dead or Alive, Prefab Sprout, Elkie Brooks and Roger Waters. Xtra Mile Recordings are a British independent record label based in London, England. The label was founded in 2003 by Charlie Caplowe and they release an eclectic mix of genres with a focus on rock and folk. History The label first signed the artists Million Dead and Reuben in 2003 and subsequently released Frank Turner's solo albums after the split of Million Dead in 2005. Jamie Lenman
Jamie Edward Lenman (born 9 November 1982) is an English musician and illustrator. He was the lead singer, guitarist and main songwriter for British alternative rock trio Reuben, from 2001 to 2008 whilst also working as an illustrator, which upon Reuben disbanding he made his primary focus. In 2013, Lenman began releasing and performing as a solo artist and has gone on to release four studio albums and one cover album. As an illustrator, Lenman worked full-time for The Guardian from 2007 until 2014. He has also frequently contributed to the Doctor Who Magazine under the pseudonym ‘Baxter’, releasing a collection of his work so far for the magazine called ‘Whoah!’ in 2014.
