Støre Cabinet
The Støre Cabinet is the incumbent government of the Kingdom of Norway, headed by Labour Party leader Jonas Gahr Støre as Prime Minister. The government was appointed by King Harald V on 14 October 2021, following the parliamentary election on 13 September, consisting of the Labour Party (Ap) and the Centre Party (Sp) as a minority government. Members On 14 October 2021, Jonas Gahr Støre's cabinet ministers were appointed by King Harald V. The cabinet consists of 19 ministers; one fewer than the previous Solberg cabinet. It has eleven ministers from Labour and eight from Centre, reflecting the parties' numerical strength in Parliament. Labour Party (Norway)
The Labour Party ( nb, Arbeiderpartiet; nn, Arbeidarpartiet; A/Ap; se, Bargiidbellodat), formerly The Norwegian Labour Party ( no, Det norske Arbeiderparti, DNA), is a social-democratic political party in Norway. It is positioned on the centre-left of the political spectrum, and is led by Jonas Gahr Støre. It was the senior partner of the governing red–green coalition from 2005 to 2013, and its former leader Jens Stoltenberg served as the prime minister of Norway. The Labour Party is officially committed to social-democratic ideals. Emilie Enger Mehl
Emilie Enger Mehl (born 8 August 1993) is a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party. She has served as minister of justice since 2021 and Member of parliament for Hedmark since 2017. Personal life and education Mehl was born in Lørenskog on 8 August 1993, a daughter of Eivind Mehl and Ellen Enger Müller. She holds a Master of laws (LL.M.) from the University of Oslo Faculty of Law. Career Parliament Mehl was elected representative to the Storting for the period 2017–2021 for the Centre Party. 2011 Norway Attacks
The 2011 Norway attacks, referred to in Norway as 22 July ( no, 22. juli) or as 22/7, were two domestic terrorist attacks by neo-Nazi Anders Behring Breivik against the government, the civilian population, and a Workers' Youth League (AUF) summer camp, in which 77 people were killed. The first attack was a car bomb explosion in Oslo within Regjeringskvartalet, the executive government quarter of Norway, at 15:25:22 (CEST). The bomb was placed inside a van next to the tower block housing the office of the then Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg. The explosion killed eight people and injured at least 209 people, twelve severely. The second attack occurred less than two hours later at a summer camp on the island of Utøya in Tyrifjorden, Viken (former Buskerud). Jan Christian Vestre (born 9 October 1986) is a Norwegian businessperson in the furniture industry, and politician for the Labour Party. He has served as Minister of Trade and Industry since 2021. Tonje Brenna (born 21 October 1987) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. She has served as Minister of Education since 2021. Personal life Brenna was formerly in a relationship with fellow party member Martin Henriksen. She is currently together with Vetle Larsen, with whom she has two sons. They also have a Labrador retriever named Jussi. Career Youth league Brenna was the General Secretary of the Workers' Youth League from 2010 to 2012.
