Strikers 1945 Plus
is a 1999 vertically scrolling shooter arcade game originally developed by Psikyo and published by SNK for the Neo Geo MVS. It is a remake of ''Strikers 1945 II'', which was released earlier in 1997 on multiple platforms. In the game, players choose one of the six fighter planes to fight against the F.G.R. organization, who leaked information of weapons by the now-disbanded C.A.N.Y. forces. Though first released in arcades, the title was later ported and re-released through download services to other platforms, each one featuring various changes compared to the original version. Psikyo
Psikyo was a Japanese video game developer and publisher known for its shoot 'em ups and undressing mahjong games. It was founded in 1992 by former Video System staff who worked on the ''Aero Fighters'' series. Psikyo was mainly an arcade game developer, and ported some of their games to home consoles as well. Psikyo was acquired by X-Nauts in 2002. In 2003, it was reported that Psikyo was shutting down. Shortly afterwards, X-Nauts stated this news was wrong. Games would continue to be released under the Psikyo label, but would be outsourced to other teams. In 2007, Psikyo programming veteran Keiyuki Haragami started a company called Zerodiv to handle distribution of Psikyo's catalog. In March 2019, Zerodiv was acquired by City Connection. ''Destructoid'' is a website that was founded as a video game-focused blog in March 2006 by Yanier Gonzalez, a Cuban-American cartoonist and author. Enthusiast Gaming acquired the website in 2017, and sold it to Gamurs Group in 2022. History ''Destructoid'' was owned by Yanier "Niero" Gonzalez so that he could attend the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in 2006. After being rejected, Gonzalez began writing original editorials and drawing cartoons which were picked up by established gaming blogs like ''Joystiq'' and '' Kotaku''. In 2007 the site relaunched with user blogs, forums, and a team of contributors. Yanier's blog was moved off the home page in favor of a staff-edited, multi-author format. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999.
