Timothy Franz Geithner (; born August 18, 1961) is a former American central banker who served as the 75th United States Secretary of the Treasury under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2013. Michael Grunwald (born August 16, 1970) is an American journalist and author who writes about public policy and national politics. He worked as a journalist for ''The Boston Globe'', ''The Washington Post'' and ''Time''. He is presently a senior writer for ''Politico Magazine''.
