Strengereid
Strengereid is a village in the municipality of Arendal in Agder county, Norway. It is located along the Norwegian County Road 410, about northeast of the village of Eydehavn and just west of the island of Flostaøya. The village of Sagene lies about to the northwest. Originally, Strengereid was part of the municipality of Tvedestrand, but on 1 January 1962, the Strengereid area was merged with the neighboring municipalities of Flosta (west), Stokken (south), and Austre Moland (northwest) to form the new municipality of Moland Moland is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. Moland
Moland is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1962 until 1992 when it was merged into the present-day municipality of Arendal which is located in what is now Agder county. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Eydehavn which had a population of 6,011 in 1967 and 8,148 in 1992. Other villages in the municipality included Kilsund, Narestø, Saltrød, Brekka, Strengereid, Vatnebu, and Sagene. The municipality consisted of the mainland area to the north and northeast of the town of Arendal plus the islands of Flostaøya and Tverrdalsøya. Norwegian County Road 410
Norwegian county road 410 (Fylkesvei 410 or Fv410) is a Norwegian county road which runs for between the Harebakken mall in Arendal municipality and Rødmyr in Tvedestrand municipality. Prior to 2010, this was a Norwegian national road, but in the transportation reforms that year, the road was transferred to county control. The northern end of the road begins at the junction of the European route E18 highway and it heads south a short distance into the town of Tvedestrand. The road intersects with Norwegian County Road 411 in the town. After about , the road enters the municipality of Arendal, where the road is locally called the ''Kystveien'' ( en, the coast road) since it generally follows the coastline throughout the municipality. Austre Moland (historic: ''Østre Moland'') is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The roughly municipality existed from 1838 until 1962 when it was merged with several neighboring municipalities to form the new municipality of Moland. It is now part of the municipality of Arendal in Agder county. The administrative centre was at Brekka where the Austre Moland Church is located. Stokken
Stokken is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1919 until 1962 when it was merged into the newly-created Moland municipality. Today, the area is a part of the present-day municipality of Arendal in Agder county. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Eydehavn. The Stokken Church was the main church for the small municipality located just outside the town of Arendal. Flosta (historic: ''Flougstad'') is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1902 until its dissolution in 1962. It is currently part of the municipality of Arendal in Agder county. The administrative center of Flosta was at Staubø in the village of Kilsund. The municipality primarily encompassed the two islands of Flostaøya and Tverrdalsøya and about on the mainland just north of the islands including the villages of Eikeland, Borås, and Vatnebu. Tvedestrand
is municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Sørlandet. The administrative center is the town of Tvedestrand. Eydehavn
Eydehavn or Eydehamn is a village in the municipality of Arendal in Agder county, Norway. The village is located about northeast of the centre of the Arendal (town), town of Arendal, about northeast of the village of Saltrød, about south of the village of Strengereid, and just across the Tromøysundet strait from Kongshamn on the island of Tromøy (island), Tromøy. Flostaøya
Flostaøya is an island in Arendal municipality in Agder county, Norway. The island lies along the Skaggerak coast between the islands of Tromøy to the southwest and Tverrdalsøya to the northeast. The island lies about northeast of the town of Arendal. Some of the larger villages on the island include Arnevik, Narestø, and Kalvøysund. The island has a bridge connection to the mainland at the southwest corner of the island and there is a bridge connection to Kilsund on the neighboring island of Tverrdalsøya at the north end.
