''Street Fighter'' is the soundtrack to Steven E. de Souza 1994 action film ''Street Fighter''. It was released on December 6, 1994, by Priority Records, and consists primarily of hip hop music. Several notable artists from the genre were featured, including Ice Cube, MC Hammer and Nas. The soundtrack found some success on the ''Billboard'' charts, peaking at No. 135 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 34 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. It featured one charting single by Rally Ral, "Something Kinda Funky", which reached No. 39 on the Hot Rap Singles. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. It is published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine and is frequently used to convey the popularity of an artist or groups of artists. Often, a recording act will be remembered by its " number ones", those of their albums that outperformed all others during at least one week. The chart grew from a weekly top 10 list in 1956 to become a top 200 list in May 1967, and acquired its current name in March 1992. Trevant Hardson (born October 5, 1970), best known by his stage name Slimkid3 (Slim Kid Tre; sometimes stylized as SlimKid3), is an American rapper from Los Angeles. He is a founding member of The Pharcyde. Career Tre Hardson began his career in the entertainment industry as a dancer and choreographer under the moniker Two for Two with his two high school friends Bootie Brown and Imani. Two for Two made numerous appearances in music videos, but had its most notable exposure with a short stint on the television show ''In Living Color''. As a member of The Pharcyde, he has contributed to ''Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde'', as well as its follow-up release ''Labcabincalifornia''. He also worked on the third album ''Plain Rap'' with the two remaining members of The Pharcyde after Fatlip's departure. Derrick Lemel Stewart (born March 26, 1968), known professionally as Fatlip, is a Los Angeles-born hip hop musician. He started his career in the hip hop group The Pharcyde. Early career The Pharcyde As a member of The Pharcyde, Fatlip contributed to the critically acclaimed ''Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde'' as well as the follow-up release ''Labcabincalifornia''. After the release of the ''Labcabincalifornia'' album, Fatlip was kicked out of the group, in part for leaving the supporting tour for their second album in favor of working on his own solo efforts. Saafir
Reggie Gibson (born August 23, 1970), better known as Saafir, is an emcee, producer and actor from Oakland, California. He is also a member of the rap group "Golden State Project" (formerly known as Golden State Warriors) with Ras Kass and Xzibit. Born in Oakland, California, he lived with Tupac Shakur and became a dancer for Digital Underground. Saafir took part in one of the most notorious Bay Area rap battles, when he and members of the Hobo Junction went against Casual and members of the Hieroglyphics Crew. The battle took place live on KMEL. John R. Austin II (born September 26, 1973), better known by his stage name Ras Kass, is an American rapper. He is a member of the hip hop supergroup The HRSMN, along with Canibus, Killah Priest, and Kurupt in 2014. He is also a member of the group Golden State Warriors with Xzibit and Saafir.
