Stewart Television
Stewart Television was an American game show production company formed by Bob Stewart in 1964 originally based in New York City. History Stewart found a job and started creating game shows for Goodson-Todman Productions in 1956. One of the first game shows he created was ''The Price is Right'' aired on NBC and was hosted by Bill Cullen. The second game show Stewart created was '' To Tell the Truth'' the same year. The third was ''Password'' in 1961. In 1964, Stewart left Goodson-Todman and formed his production company Bob Stewart Productions. His first production for his independent company was the game show ''Eye Guess'' that aired in 1966 and was co-produced by Filmways and lasted until 1969. It was followed by the game Personality that ran from 1967 to 1969. Bob Stewart (television Producer)
Bob Stewart (born Isidore L. Steinberg; August 27, 1920 – May 4, 2012) was an American television game show producer. He was active in the TV industry from 1956 until his retirement in 1991. Stewart is known for creating some of the most popular game shows for Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Productions. These shows include ''To Tell the Truth'', ''Password (American game show), Password'', and ''The Price Is Right (U.S. game show), The Price Is Right.'' His biggest success as an independent producer was the ''Pyramid (game show), Pyramid'' series, starting with ''The $10,000 Pyramid'' in 1973. ''The Price Is Right (U.S. game show), The Price Is Right'', created by Stewart, is the only game show to be seen nationally in either first-run network or syndication airings in the US in every decade from the 1950s onward. The Love Experts
''The Love Experts'' is an American television show that was part talk show and part game show that ran from September 18, 1978, to September 7, 1979. It was hosted by Bill Cullen and Jack Clark was the announcer. The show was created by Bob Stewart. Bebu Silvetti's "Spring Rain" was used as the show's theme song. Premise Three guests would appear and talk about their love lives. After each guest had told his or her story, a panel of four celebrities would give advice to the contestant. Decision After the guests had told their stories, the celebrity panel would choose which of the three contestants had given the most interesting story and that particular contestant won a prize (usually a trip). ''Jackpot'' (also referred to as ''Jackpot!'') is an American and Canadian television game show produced by Bob Stewart which saw contestants attempting to solve riddles in order to win cash and prizes. ''Jackpot'' made its debut on the NBC television network on January 7, 1974 as part of their daytime schedule and ran until September 26, 1975. The show was videotaped in New York City, where Stewart was based at the time, and was hosted by Geoff Edwards. In 1985, Stewart teamed up with USA Network and Global Television Network for a revival that aired in both the United States and Canada. Metromedia (also often MetroMedia) was an American media company that owned radio and television stations in the United States from 1956 to 1986 and controlled Orion Pictures from 1988 to 1997. Metromedia was established in 1956 after the DuMont Television Network ceased operations and its owned-and-operated stations were spun off into a separate company. Metromedia sold its television stations to News Corporation in 1985 (which News Corp. then used to form the nucleus of Fox Television Stations), and spun off its radio stations into a separate company in 1986. ''Chain Reaction'' is an American television game show created by Bob Stewart, in which players compete to form chains composed of two-word phrases. The show has aired five separate runs: Bill Cullen hosted the original series on NBC from January 14, 1980, to June 20, 1980. The second version aired on the USA Network from September 29, 1986, to December 27, 1991, and was hosted first by Blake Emmons and later by Geoff Edwards (who also subbed for Cullen for two weeks on the NBC version). A third version aired on Game Show Network from August 1, 2006, to June 9, 2007, hosted by Dylan Lane. ''Go'' is an American television game show created by Bob Stewart and aired on NBC from October 3, 1983, to January 20, 1984. The show featured two teams, each composed of four contestants and a celebrity. The teams had to construct questions one word at a time to convey a word or phrase to their teammates. The concept of ''Go'' was based on "Instant Reaction", an endgame played on two different iterations of another game show created by Bob Stewart, ''Chain Reaction'' - in 1980 on NBC and from 2006 to 2007 on GSN.
