Steve DeMarchi
Steven DeMarchi is a Canadian guitarist, backing vocalist and songwriter. He is best known as the co-founder and lead guitarist of the bands Sheriff (1979–1985) and Alias (1988–1991). DeMarchi also played guitar for The Cranberries (1996–2003) and was the main guitarist for Dolores O'Riordan (2005–2008). As a Billboard hit songwriter, DeMarchi is known for co-writing the hit songs " More Than Words Can Say", a 1990 Number 1 hit on the BillBoard Hot AC chart and Number 2 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and “Haunted Heart”, a 1990 Number 18 hit on the US Mainstream Rock chart. BMI presented DeMarchi with the "Million-air award" for the song " More Than Words Can Say". The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data. Radio airplay, which, unlike sales figures and streaming, is readily available on a real-time basis, is also tracked on a Friday to Thursday cycle effective with the chart dated July 17, 2021 (previously Monday to Sunday and before July 2015, Wednesday to Tuesday). Arnold Lanni
Arnold David Lanni (born May 4, 1956) is a Canadian record producer and former member of Frōzen Ghōst and Sheriff. He wrote Sheriff's most successful song, " When I'm with You." History Lanni was a founding member of Canadian rock band Sheriff in 1979. The band would only release one album (their 1982 self-titled effort, which included "When I'm with You" and another minor hit, "You Remind Me") before breaking up in 1985. Sheriff members Lanni and Wolf Hassel then formed Frozen Ghost, which existed 1985 to 1993. Lanni was a guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist for this project. In 2000 Lanni was nominated as producer of the year at the Juno Awards. Freddy Curci
Federico "Freddy" Curci (born October 30, 1962) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. He was lead vocalist for the rock band Sheriff and later founded and became frontman for the band Alias, a position he retains to this day. Curci provided lead vocals on the Sheriff song " When I'm with You", which reached the number one spot in 1989, and the Alias power ballad "More Than Words Can Say", which reached the number two spot in 1990 on the ''Billboard'' charts. ''Never Say Never'', released in 2009, is the second album from the 1990s hard rock band Alias. In early January 2009, Alias announced the release of their long-awaited second album. This album, appropriately titled ''Never Say Never'', sat unreleased for nearly 18 years. It was recorded in 1992 and was planned to follow the self-titled debut album ''Alias''. However, due to the rapidly evolving music scene of that time where the grunge movement was growing in popularity and metal was fading, it was not released. AXS TV is an American cable television channel. Majority-owned by Anthem Sports & Entertainment, it is devoted primarily to music-related programming (such as concert films, documentaries, and reality series involving musicians) and combat sports – including boxing, mixed martial arts and professional wrestling. James Douglas Muir Leno (; born April 28, 1950) is an American television host, comedian, writer, and actor. After doing stand-up comedy for years, he became the host of NBC's ''The Tonight Show'' from 1992 to 2009. Beginning in September 2009, he started a primetime talk show, ''The Jay Leno Show'', which aired weeknights at 10:00p.m. ET, also on NBC. ''The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson'' was an American late-night talk show hosted by Johnny Carson on NBC, the third iteration of the ''Tonight Show'' franchise. The show debuted on October 1, 1962, and aired its final episode on May 22, 1992. Ed McMahon served as Carson's sidekick and the show's announcer. The Improv is a comedy club franchise. It was founded as a single venue in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York City in 1963, and expanded into a chain of venues in the late 1970s. History Originally, it was a single venue founded in 1963 by Budd Friedman and his future wife, Silver Saundors, and located in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York City on West 44th near the southeast corner of 9th Ave. The Improvisation was originally an after hours coffee house where Broadway performers could unwind after shows with an open mic inviting impromptu musical performances.
