Stephanie Deshpande
Stephanie Deshpande (born 1975) is a contemporary American painter, best known for her portraits and narrative paintings. She currently lives in northern New Jersey. Education Deshpande attended high school in Massachusetts, and completed a BFA with honors in painting at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1997. In 1996 she studied at the Ingbretson Studio in Framingham and was instructed in the Boston School method by Meg Mercier. She was awarded the Ellen Battell Stoeckel Fellowship to attend the Yale Summer School of Music and Art in 1996. She continued her studies at the New York Academy of Art, earning her MFA in 1999. While attending NYAA, she studied under Vincent Desiderio and Steven Assael. She is an instructor at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey and at the Teaching Studios of Art on Long Island. New Jersey

''The Artist's Magazine'' is a monthly magazine for artists formerly published by F+W Media in Cincinnati, Ohio. The magazine was founded in 1983 and claims a circulation of 60,000. The founding company was Fletcher Art Services. F&W Publications acquired the magazine in September 1986. In 2019 the company stopped its operations and its publications were sold. Macanta Investments, LLC, acquired ''The Artist's Magazine''. It focuses on painting technique, special effects, marketing, and business topics. It published the book, ''The Pencil Box: A Treasury of Time-Tested Drawing Techniques and Advice'' (2006). In July 2012, ''The Artist's Magazines publisher bought out Interweave, the publisher of another art magazine titled ''American Artist''. On June 17, 2015, a mass shooting occurred in Charleston, South Carolina, in which nine African Americans were killed during a Bible study at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Among those people who were killed was the senior pastor, South Carolina Senate, state senator Clementa C. Pinckney. This church is one of the oldest black churches in the United States, and it has long been a center for organizing events which are related to Civil and political rights, civil rights. The morning after the attack, police arrested Dylann Roof in Shelby, North Carolina; a 21-year-old White supremacy, white supremacist who had attended the Bible study (Christianity), Bible study before he committed the shooting. Laur, officially the Municipality of Laur ( tl, Bayan ng Laur), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija in Central Luzon region of Philippines. Mario Robinson
Mario Andres Robinson (born 1970) is an American painter, pastellist, and draftsman. Robinson was born in Altus, Oklahoma. At the age of 12 he moved with family to New Jersey. He was encouraged to develop his innate talent for the expression of visual art by a fifth grade teacher, and so began building what would soon become a prodigious body of work. Robinson studied at the Pratt Institute in New York City.From the beginning of his career, Robinson was influenced by the work of Degas, Rembrandt, Vermeer among others. Raggedy Andy
Raggedy Ann is a character created by American writer Johnny Gruelle (1880–1938) that appeared in a series of books he wrote and illustrated for young children. Raggedy Ann is a rag doll with red yarn for hair and a triangle nose. Gruelle received US Patent D47789 for his Raggedy Ann doll on September 7, 1915. The character was created in 1915 as a doll, and was introduced to the public in the 1918 book ''Raggedy Ann Stories''. When a doll was marketed with the book, the concept had great success. A sequel, ''Raggedy Andy Stories'' (1920), introduced the character of her brother, Raggedy Andy. John Singer Sargent

Chiaroscuro
Chiaroscuro ( , ; ), in art, is the use of strong contrasts between light and dark, usually bold contrasts affecting a whole composition. It is also a technical term used by artists and art historians for the use of contrasts of light to achieve a sense of volume in modelling three-dimensional objects and figures. Similar effects in cinema, and black and white and low-key photography, are also called chiaroscuro. Further specialized uses of the term include chiaroscuro woodcut for coloured woodcuts printed with different blocks, each using a different coloured ink; and chiaroscuro drawing for drawings on coloured paper in a dark medium with white highlighting. Oil Painting
Oil painting is the process of painting with pigments with a medium of drying oil as the binder. It has been the most common technique for artistic painting on wood panel or canvas for several centuries, spreading from Europe to the rest of the world. The advantages of oil for painting images include "greater flexibility, richer and denser colour, the use of layers, and a wider range from light to dark". But the process is slower, especially when one layer of paint needs to be allowed to dry before another is applied. West Sussex
West Sussex is a county in South East England on the English Channel coast.
