Administratively, Hoheluft is divided into two quarters: in the borough of Hamburg-Nord, and in the borough of Eimsbüttel. The Hoheluftchaussee is the boundary between the two quarters. The Hamburg Sea Devils are an American football team in Hamburg, Germany, that plays in the European League of Football (ELF). History The Hamburg franchise was announced in November 2020, as part of the inaugural season of the European League of Football. In March 2021, ELF announced it has reached an agreement with the NFL, to be able to use the team names from the days of NFL Europe. On the same day, it was announced Hamburg will use the name of the defunct NFL Europe franchise Hamburg Sea Devils. The Sea Devils also introduced their new head coach, former special teams coach for multiple NFL teams, Ted Daisher. The 2021 ELF season is the inaugural season of the European League of Football, a newly formed professional American football league based in Europe. It started on June 19, 2021, and ended with a Championship Game in Düsseldorf's Merkur Spiel-Arena, on September 26, 2021. Format The league is divided into two divisions, North and South. Each team plays 10 games during the regular season: twice against their division rivals, and twice against two of the teams from the other division. The top two teams in each division qualify for the playoffs, with the North and South champions qualifying for the Championship Game.
