St. Breckan's, Lisdoonvarna GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the town of Lisdoonvarna, County Clare, Ireland. The club field teams in Gaelic football competitions only. Lisdoonvarna
Lisdoonvarna () is a spa town in County Clare in Ireland. The town is famous for its music and festivals. Although the music festival was discontinued in the 1980s, Lisdoonvarna still hosts its annual matchmaking festival each September. The population was 829 at the 2016 Census. Geography Lisdoonvarna is located in the area of County Clare known as the Burren, on the N67 road (Ireland), N67 road between Ballyvaughan and Ennistymon. Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). Doolin
Doolin () is a coastal village in County Clare, Ireland, on the Atlantic coast. It is southwest of the spa town of Lisdoonvarna and 4 miles from the Cliffs of Moher. It is a noted centre of traditional Irish music, which is played nightly in its pubs, making it a popular tourist destination. There are numerous nearby archaeological sites, many dating to the Iron Age and earlier. Doonagore Castle and Ballinalacken Castle are also in the area. 2023 Clare Senior Football Championship
The 2023 TUS Clare Senior Football Championship was the 128th staging of the Clare Senior Football Championship since its establishment by the Clare County Board in 1887. The 2022 champions, and holders of the Jack Daly Cup were Éire Óg, Ennis, who successfully defended their 2021 crown, to win back-to-back titles and their twentieth overall. Cratloe GAA
Cratloe GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Cratloe, County Clare, Ireland. The club deals with both Gaelic football and hurling and basketball. The club competes in Clare GAA competitions. In November 2013, Cratloe won their first ever Clare Senior Football Championship title, defeating Doonbeg by 0-10 to 0-7. They reached the 2013 Munster Senior Club Football Championship final on 1 December, but were defeated 0-13 to 0-12 by Dr Crokes. The Munster Football Intermediate Club Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 2003 for the top intermediate clubs in the province of Munster in Ireland. It is sponsored by Allied Irish Bank and therefore officially known as the AIB Munster GAA Football Intermediate Club Championship. The series of games are played during the autumn and winter months with the Munster final currently being played in late November.
