St Senan's GAA (Clare)
St Senan's, Kilkee are a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in Kilkee, County Clare, Ireland. The club participates in games organized by the Clare County Board. It is primarily a Gaelic football club. As part of the 2016 Football Review Agreement, a pathway was left open for any amalgamations that wished to enter the senior championship. Two intermediate clubs (Naomh Eoin and O'Curry's) from the Loop Head Peninsula took up this opportunity for 2019 and competed together as ''West Clare''. After West Clare's relative success in 2019, their near neighbours Kilkee will join them under the name Western Gaels for 2020. Once again amalgamations will be exempt from potential relegation. Kilfenora GAA
Kilfenora ( ga, Cill Fhionnúrach , meaning 'Church of the Fertile Hillside' or 'Church of the White Brow') is a village and a civil parish in County Clare, Ireland. It is situated south of the karst limestone region known as the Burren. Since medieval times when it was the episcopal see of the Bishop of Kilfenora, it has been known as the "City of the Crosses" for its seven (now five) high crosses. The village had around 220 inhabitants in 2011. Much of the TV show ''Father Ted'' (1995–98) was filmed there. Coolmeen GAA
Coolmeen GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Coolmeen, County Clare, Ireland. It takes part in competitions organised by the Clare GAA county board. It fields teams in Gaelic football. History Coolmeen GAA club was formed in 1887. Since then the club has won numerous Gaelic Football championship titles at adult and underage level. Throughout the last century Coolmeen has won two senior football championships, as well as having success at intermediate and junior levels. The club's adult football team are currently at intermediate status. The last Junior 'A' championship came to Coolmeen in 1999 with a one-point victory over Clondegad in the final. Shannon Gaels is the GAA club of Kilmurry McMahon/Labasheeda, County Clare. The name Shannon Gaels first appeared in 1940 but Gaelic Football has been played in the parish since 1887 under different names. History Before Shannon Gaels The first club was formed in May 1887 under the name Labasheeda. Their first ever game was played against Kilmacduane (Cooraclare) on the 21st of that month. The game ended with a victory to Kilmacduane on a scoreline of 0–1 to 0-0. The club continued for another 13 years without any success, until 1900 when a parish team under the name St Patricks captured the county title from Kilmihil by a winning margin of six points. Liscannor () is a coastal village in County Clare, Ireland. Geography Lying on the west coast of Ireland, on Liscannor Bay, the village is located on the R478 road between Lahinch, to the east, and Doolin, to the north. Kilmihil () is a village in the Barony of Clonderlaw, west County Clare, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is also a Civil parishes in Ireland, civil parish and an ecclesiastical parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe. The area was officially classified as part of the West Clare Gaeltacht; an Irish-speaking community; until 1956.
