Spires That In The Sunset Rise
Spires That in the Sunset Rise is an American psychedelic folk band from Decatur, Illinois. The four original members of the band (Ka Baird, Georgia Vallas, Taralie Peterson, and Tracy Peterson) grew up together in Decatur, Illinois, eventually moving to Chicago, Illinois where they began to experiment with creating songs. Drawing from experimental and multi-cultural music, they created an individual sound which they debuted on their first self-titled album ''Spires That in the Sunset Rise''. The first album was created without Taralie's sister Tracy Peterson, but she soon joined the group before the making of their second album ' Four Winds the Walker.' A year later they created their third album ' This Is Fire' which today is considered one of their most accessible albums thus far. The Ex are an underground band from the Netherlands that formed in 1979 at the height of the original punk explosion. Initially known as an anarcho-punk band, they have since released over 20 full-length albums exploring a wide variety of genres, blending punk rock with free jazz and folk music from all over the world. Comus (band)
Comus are a British progressive folk band who had a brief career in the early 1970s. Their first album, ''First Utterance'', brought them a cult following, which persists. They reunited in 2009, and have played several festivals and released a new album. History Comus was formed in 1969 by art students Roger Wootton and Glenn Goring, who developed their musical style performing in folk clubs in and around Bromley in Kent. The band was named after ''Comus'' (a masque by John Milton), and also after the name of the Greek god Comus. The band grew from an early folk duo to a six-piece ensemble; in that later form, David Bowie came to appreciate them. They appeared regularly at his Arts Lab project in Beckenham, Kent. Current 93 are an English experimental music group, working since the early 1980s in folk-based musical forms. The band was founded in 1982 by David Tibet, who has been Current 93's only constant member.
