Heimanu Philippe Taiarui (born 24 August 1986) is a beach soccer and association football player from French Polynesia who plays as a defender. He has appeared at six editions of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup representing the Tahitian national team, finishing as a runner-up twice ( 2015 and 2017); at the former, he won the Golden Ball (best player) award. Llorenç Gómez León (born 3 November 1991), often known simply as Llorenç, is a Spanish former beach soccer player who played as a forward. He represented Spain at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in 2013, 2015 and 2021. 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup
The 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was the 11th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. Overall, this was the 21st edition of a world cup in beach soccer since the establishment of the ''Beach Soccer World Championships'' which ran from 1995 to 2004 but was not governed by FIFA. This was the sixth tournament to take place biennially; the World Cup took place annually until 2009. The tournament took place in Moscow, capital of Russia, between 19 and 29 August 2021. The tournament was first intimated in November 2017 at the FIFA Beach Soccer Workshop when it was announced that the World Cup would continue to be held every two years for between 2018 and 2024. Beach soccer, also known as beach football, sand football or beasal, is a variant of association football played on a beach or some form of sand. Whilst football has been played informally on beaches, the introduction of ''beach soccer'' was an attempt to codify rules for the game. This was done in 1992 by the founders of Beach Soccer Worldwide, a company set up to develop the sport and responsible for the majority of its tournaments. The 2014 Euro Beach Soccer Cup was the fourteenth edition of the ''Euro Beach Soccer Cup'', one of Europe's main, regular international beach soccer championships organised every two years by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW), held in August 2014, in Baku, Azerbaijan. Just six nations took part as in 2008, compared to the usual eight, and the teams were not the top-ranked nations from the preceding Euro Beach Soccer League season as in the past but a mix of teams from the divisions as listed below.
