Sound The Alarm (The Dawn Album)
''Sound the Alarm'' is the eleventh studio album by The Dawn, released in 2009. It is the band's first album with the new guitarist Kenneth Ilagan. Five of the album's tracks were produced by Raimund Marasigan, the other five by Ariz Guinto. Marasigan also helped with musical arrangement, especially with the six songs composed by the bass guitar player Buddy Zabala. Pro Tools was used in making half of the songs on the album, a new method for the band. This is the only album to feature guitarist Kenneth Ilagan. The Dawn is a Filipino rock band which first achieved commercial success during the late 1980s in the Philippines. The band broke up in 1995 with lead vocalist Jett Pangan forming another band, the Jett Pangan Group. The Dawn reunited in late 1999. Pinoy rock, or Filipino rock, is the brand of rock music produced in the Philippines or by Filipinos. Raimund Marasigan
Raimund Emmanuel Parcon Marasigan (born May 22, 1971) is a Filipino rock musician and record producer. His first name is often misspelled ''Raymond'' or ''Raimond'' though he personally prefers to spell his name as Raymund. The breadth of his projects has made him one of the most well-respected mainstays of the Philippine rock band scene. He was the drummer, vocalist and lyricist alongside bandmate Ely Buendia of The Eraserheads, and the current keyboard/synths player for Pedicab, former rhythm guitarist and now frontman of Sandwich, current drummer of Cambio, vocalist of Project 1 and the man behind Squid 9. Kenneth Ilagan
Kenneth Ilagan is a Filipino musician who was the guitarist for the rock band The Dawn. Before assuming guitar duties for The Dawn, Ilagan also played guitar for Violent Playground, True Faith and Xaga (who then became Rivermaya). Hector Avanceña Zabala (born November 13, 1971), popularly known as Buddy Zabala, is a Filipino musician and producer. He is currently the bassist of Filipino pop band Moonstar88 and indie band Cambio, and widely known as the bassist and backing vocalist of the alternative rock band, Eraserheads. He also served as bassist to The Dawn and Hilera. Early life Zabala was born in Zamboanga City, Philippines and attended University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City. Jett Pangan
Jett Pangan (born Reginald Pangan on June 21, 1968) is a Filipino actor, singer and guitarist best known for fronting the Filipino rock bands the Dawn, and the now defunct Jett Pangan Group. He is also an actor, appearing in several theater plays, TV, and films, most notably his role in '' Tulad ng Dati'' and his lead role in the musical production of ''Sweeney Todd''.
