The Socialist Party of the Manzanillo ( es, Partido Socialista de Manzanillo) was a political party in Manzanillo, Cuba, formed in 1906. Agustín Martín Vélez, a tobacco worker and former anarchist, was the leader of the party. The party was Marxist in its orientation and was active in leading the ''Federación Obrera de Manzanillo'' trade union movement. Manzanillo is a municipality and city in the Granma Province of Cuba. By population, it is the 14th-largest Cuban city and the most populated one not being a provincial seat. Geography It is a port city in the Granma Province in eastern Cuba on the Gulf of Guacanayabo, near the delta of the Cauto River. Access by sea is limited by the coral reefs of Cayo Perla. The Popular Socialist Party ( es, Partido Socialista Popular, PSP) was a communist party in Cuba. It was founded in 1925 as the Cuban Communist Party () by Blas Roca Calderio, Anibal Escalante, Fabio Grobart, Alfonso Bernal del Riesgo, and Julio Antonio Mella.
