Soccer Bowl 2015
Soccer Bowl 2015 is the North American Soccer League's postseason championship match of the 2015 season which determined the NASL Champion. Background The New York Cosmos became the first club to earn a place in the Soccer Bowl Championship after securing the 2015 Spring Championship with a 3–3 draw at home against Jacksonville on June 13. The Fall Championship would be clinched by the Ottawa Fury on October 21 with a comeback 3–1 away win, also against the Armada. This would be Fury's first championship as a professional club and would make them the first Canadian club to appear in the Soccer Bowl playoffs since 2011. The final two playoff spots would be taken by Minnesota United and the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. The race for the North American Supporters' Trophy would quickly boil down to three clubs: the Cosmos, the Fury and Minnesota United. Soccer Bowl (2011–2017)
The NASL Championship was the annual championship competition of the North American Soccer League (NASL), which formed the second division of American soccer from 2011 to 2017. The competition was held at the end of the regular season and was contested by the two finalists of the playoffs to determine the winner of the NASL Trophy, known as the Soccer Bowl Trophy. The tournament is named for the Soccer Bowl from the original incarnation of the NASL, which ran from 1967 to 1984. The 2011 and 2012 titles were decided in a two-game aggregate finish. Since 2013 the championship has been a single-game final. Beginning with the 2014 season, a new format was introduced, called the NASL Championship, with the final game being called the NASL Championship Final and only the trophy the Soccer Bowl trophy. The Tampa Bay Rowdies are an American professional Association football, soccer team based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The club was founded in 2008 and first took the pitch in 2010. MCU Park
Maimonides Park (formerly MCU Park and KeySpan Park) is a minor league baseball stadium on the Riegelmann Boardwalk in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York City. The home team and primary tenant is the New York Mets-affiliated Brooklyn Cyclones of the South Atlantic League. The stadium has also hosted other teams as well. Hendry Bernardo Thomas Suazo (born 23 February 1985), also known as ''Buchuca'', is a Honduran former footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Daniel Gregory Szetela (born June 17, 1987) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Morris Elite SC in USL League Two. David Meves (born July 20, 1990) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper, most recently for Puerto Rico FC of the North American Soccer League. Marcos Antônio Senna da Silva (born 17 July 1976), known as Senna, is a retired professional footballer who played as a central midfielder.
