Sky Aviation (Indonesia)
Sky Aviation was a regional airline based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It started service in 2010 and suspended operation in 2014. History Sky Aviation was established as an air charter service in 2010 with a fleet of two Cirrus aircraft. After a management change in 2010, it expanded its services to a regular scheduled airline. In 2010 Sky Aviation acquired a Cessna Grand Caravan to service scheduled flights between Surabaya, Banyuwangi and Denpasar. These routes were officially launched in Banyuwangi on December 29, 2010. In the first quarter of 2011 Sky Aviation acquired Fokker 50 turbo props as new type of fleet. Three Fokker 50 aircraft joined its fleet and entered into service. On March 29, 2012 Sky Aviation launched its first international route with a turboprop-powered Fokker F-50 airplane to serve Raja Haji Fisabilillah Airport, Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands to Melaka (Malacca), Malaysia. Fokker 50
The Fokker 50 is a turboprop-powered airliner, designed as an improved version of the successful Fokker F27 Friendship. The Fokker 60 is a stretched freighter version of the Fokker 50. Both aircraft were manufactured and supported by Dutch aircraft manufacturer Fokker. The Fokker 50 was developed during the early 1980s following a decline in the sales of the company's earlier F27 Friendship. It was decided that the new airliner would be a derivative of its predecessor, sharing much of its airframe and design features, while incorporating new advances and several improvements, such as the adoption of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127B turboprop engines, in order to produce a successor that had a 30 per cent reduction in fuel consumption over the F27. Pinang Kampai Airport is a domestic airport located at Dumai, a city in Riau province. It serves Dumai and surrounding areas. This airport serves flights to and from several cities and towns in Indonesia. This airport is able to serve Boeing 737 Classic. History The airport was built by Pertamina, the state oil company of Indonesia to support its operations in the Dumai area. The Sukhoi Superjet 100 () or SSJ100 is a regional jet designed by Russian aircraft company Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, a division of the United Aircraft Corporation (now: Regional Aircraft – Branch of the Irkut Corporation).
