Sissel Sellæg
Sissel Sellæg (10 February 1928 – 5 January 2014) was a Norwegian actress. She debuted in 1950 at the Studioteatret. She worked at Folketeatret in the years 1951–56, at Den Nationale Scene from 1959 to 1964 and at Oslo Nye Teater from 1967 to 1998. Per Theodor Haugen
Per Theodor Haugen (8 October 1932 – 14 October 2018) was a Norwegian actor. Haugen was theater manager at Oslo Nye Teater from 1985 to 1988. Haugen was born at Kongsberg. He was the son of Trygve Haugen (1897–1943) and his wife Hjørdis Wissestad (1904–60). At age 16 he became a student at Rogaland Theater in Stavanger. He had his stage debut in 1949 at Rogaland Teater. In 1959, he played the lead role in the movie '' Støv på hjernen'' (Dust on the Brain). Notodden
Notodden () is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Øst-Telemark. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Notodden. Notodden was separated from the municipality of Heddal in 1913 to become a separate city and municipality. On 1 January 1964, the rural municipalities of Heddal and Gransherad were merged into Notodden to form a new enlarged municipality. Notodden is on the shore of Heddalsvatnet lake, and the Tinn River runs through the town into the lake. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Kim Haugen (born 24 September 1958) is a Norwegian actor. He is a son of actors Per Theodor Haugen and Sissel Sellæg and is married to Nadia Hasnaoui. He made his stage debut at Den Nationale Scene in 1982. From 1985 he worked as an actor at Nationaltheatret (The Norwegian National Theatre). In 1992 he played the title role in ''Hamlet'' at Oslo Nye Teater. Studioteatret
Studioteatret was a theatre in Norway. It opened in 1945, shortly after the liberation, with Claes Gill as its first theatre director. Studioteatret is regarded as one of the earliest post-war artistic expressions in Norway, and most of its members later played important roles in Norwegian theatre. Studioteatret closed 25 October 1950, due to economic difficulties, and its members were spread to various other theatres. Background During the German occupation the theatres in Norway were subject to a nazification process by the German occupants and the Nazi collaborationist government. The Nazis established a school called "Statens teaterskole", and demanded it to be mandatory for everybody that wanted to work in a theatre. The school was largely boycotted by students. Folketeatret
Folketeateret is a theatre in Oslo, Norway. The building has been used as a movie theatre and as an opera house. The theatre has 1,400 seats. History The theatre itself operated from 1952 to 1959, but the institution has a much longer history. Inspired by the Freie Deutsche Volksbühne in Berlin led to forming of interest organizations in Bergen and Oslo in 1928 and 1929. The idea to establish a good theater for the working class. The ''Folketeatret'' building in Oslo was commissioned in 1929, and the architects Christian Morgenstierne (1880–1967) and Arne Eide (1881–1957) worked on it until it opened in 1935. Den Nationale Scene ( en, National Theater) is the largest theatre in Bergen, Norway. Den Nationale Scene is also one of the oldest permanent theatres in Norway. History Opened under the name '' Det Norske Theater'' in 1850, the theatre has roots dating back to its founding on the initiative of the Norwegian violinist Ole Bull. The theatre was created to develop Norwegian playwrights.
