Sing! China (season 1)
The first season of the Chinese reality talent show ''Sing! China'' premiered on 15 July 2016 on Zhejiang Television. The show is loosely based on a similar competition format in the Netherlands, ''The Voice of Holland''. The show is hosted by Li Yong. Jay Chou, Na Ying, Wang Feng, and Harlem Yu are the coaches, same as the fourth season of The Voice of China On 7 October 2016, Jiang Dunhao of Team Wang Feng was announced as the winner of the season, with Nathan Hartono of Team Jay as runner-up. Wang Chenrui of Team Na Ying, Xu Geyang of Team Wang Feng, Yang Meina of Team Harlem, and Jeryl Lee of Team Na Ying finished in third, fourth, fifth, and sixth place respectively. This is the first and only season to feature 6 finalists. Jay Chou
Jay Chou ( zh, t=周杰倫, s=周杰伦, poj=Chiu Kia̍t-lûn, p=Zhōu Jiélún, first=t, w=Chou Chieh-lun; born January 18, 1979) is a Taiwanese singer, songwriter, record producer, rapper, actor, and television personality. Xu Geyang
Xu Geyang (; born December 15, 1996) is a Chinese singer-songwriter. In July 2016, she made her debut as a contestant on the first season of the reality television singing competition show ''Sing! China'' on Zhejiang Television. She finished fourth in the finals. She released her first single, "''Forever''", in May 2017. On November 20, 2017, Xu Geyang won her first award: "The Most Promising Singer" at a Chinese music awards ceremony. Career 2016: Became a singer ''Sing! China'' In July 2016, Xu Geyang became a singer. She competed in ''Sing! China'' and joined Wang Feng's team. She passed the fighting rounds easily. In the cross-fighting round, she defeated Yu Tian (from Jay Chou's team) with a score of 35 to 16, and advanced to the semifinals. In the semifinals, she received the third highest score, 88.36, and advanced to the Top 6. In the finals, she won runner-up in Wang Feng's team and fourth place overall. Yichun () is a prefecture-level city on the Songhua river in Heilongjiang province, People's Republic of China. Pingdingshan (), also known as Eagle City ( zh, s=鹰城, p=Yīngchéng, t=鷹城), is a prefecture-level city in central Henan province, China. It had 4,904,701 inhabitants at the 2010 census whom 1,756,333 lived in the built-up (or metro) area including Ye county being conurbated.
