Sincerely Yours (record Label)
Sincerely Yours is a Gothenburg-based independent record label formed in 2005 by the Swedish electronic pop duo The Tough Alliance. The duo created the record label after they left their former label Service. The Tough Alliance began by releasing their own music but has since then signed and released music from many different acts then themselves. Besides releasing music, the record label has a history of releasing high end products such as bulletproof vests, armlets, wine, shirts and jackets. Gothenburg
Gothenburg (; abbreviated Gbg; sv, Göteborg ) is the second-largest city in Sweden, fifth-largest in the Nordic countries, and capital of the Västra Götaland County. Dayve Hawk (born 1981), better known by his stage name Memory Tapes, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer, and the former frontman of the Philadelphia-based band, Hail Social. Career After releasing material under the names "Memory Cassette" and "Weird Tapes", and on signing to Something in Construction to release a Memory Cassette EP (also on Acephale), Memory Tapes' first LP, '' Seek Magic'', was released in September 2009 through the labels Something in Construction, Sincerely Yours and Acéphale. It was self-released in the U.S. ''Seek Magic'' sold over 1,000 copies on pre-release through Rough Trade, a shop in London, and has since sold over 30,000. Jj (band)
JJ, styled as jj, is a Swedish band who has released music through the Gothenburg-based independent label Sincerely Yours and the Bloomington, Indiana-based label Secretly Canadian. The band consists of Joakim Benon and Elin Kastlander. History jj met in their hometown of Vallentuna, outside of Stockholm, and began playing together at a local youth center. They released their debut jj n° 1 in early 2009 and a couple of months later they released their debut album ''jj n° 2''. Both the debut single and the debut album received a ''Best New Music'' inclusion from Pitchfork Media with ratings of 8 and 8.6 respectively. On December 24, 2008 it was announced that the American record label Secretly Canadian had signed jj to their roster. At the same time, the release date for jj's second full length album was slated. Joel Alme
Joel Alme (born 1980) is a musician and artist from Gothenburg, Sweden. Alme released his debut album ''A Master of Ceremonies'' on 22 April 2008 with "Queen's Corner" being the single. In 2010 he released his second studio album, called ''Waiting for the Bells''. He is the former lead singer for Spring in Paris. When Alme received grant money from the Swedish Arts Council (Kulturrådet) for his second album ''Waiting for the Bells''. Regarding the grant money, Alme stated that "it enabled me to use a real strings orchestra and I could spend more time in a very good studio with a good producer, Mattias Glavå."
