Sinai Beach
Sinai Beach was a Christian metal band that was formed in Riverside, California, in 2000. The band has stated on multiple occasions that they are named after Mount Sinai, where Moses was given the Ten Commandments in the Bible. History Early beginnings (2000–2006) Sinai Beach was started by vocalist CJ Alderson, guitarist Logan Lambert, drummer Mike Dunlap, and bassist Jeff Santo. They recorded a four-song demo and played mostly local shows. Their recording and performances gained attention of No Innocent Victim drummer, Jason Dunn. Shortly after signing with Dunn's label, Facedown Records, guitarist Mike Risinger joined on guitar. The five began to write material for their second recording that became the band's first full release, '' When Breath Escapes''. Vocalist CJ Alderson appeared on Zao's ''The Lesser Lights of Heaven'' DVD. Zao (US Band)
Zao () is an American metalcore band founded in Parkersburg, West Virginia and later relocated to Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Founded in March 1993, Zao has hosted several musicians and endured numerous roster changes to the point where no original members remain. Former drummer Jesse Smith, vocalist Dan Weyandt, and guitarists Scott Mellinger and Russ Cogdell are seen by some fans as the "core" of Zao, with the current line up being the longest running in the band's history. Throwdown is an American metal band from Orange County, California. Formed in 1997, the band has endured numerous lineup changes to the point where no original members remain. Throwdown has toured as part of Ozzfest, Sounds of the Underground, Hellfest, and Warped Tour, as well as with bands such as In Flames, Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage, Korn and Cavalera Conspiracy. Strongarm (band)
Strongarm was a five-piece Christian and straight edge hardcore band, formed in Pompano Beach, Florida. They were one of the first "Spirit-Filled" hardcore bands, along with Unashamed, Overcome, Focused and Zao. Biography Between 1990 and 1991, Ikthus, a local punk band consisting of vocalist Dave Bean, guitarist Jason Berggren, drummer Chris Carbonell and bassist Matt Fletcher, was formed. Flecher quit early on and was replaced by Chad Neptune, a friend of the band. Ikthus went on to disband later in 1993. However, Carbonell, Neptune, and Berggren sought to form a new band following this. Carbonell, Neptune, and Berggren eventually united with their friend Josh Colbert, who previously had performed in another Christian hardcore band called Endure. Overcome are an American Christian metalcore band. They come from Phoenix, Arizona. The band started making music in 1993 until their decade-long hiatus from 2000 to 2010, when they commenced making music again. Tooth & Nail Records released the band's first two albums, ''Blessed Are the Persecuted'' in 1996 and ''When Beauty Dies'' in 1997. Himsa was an American heavy metal band from Seattle, Washington. Formed in 1998, their band name is from the Sanskrit word himsa, which means "harm" or "violence". Still Remains
Still Remains is an American metalcore band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They formed out of previous local bands Shades of Amber and Unition. They released three studio albums, ''Of Love and Lunacy'', '' The Serpent'' and '' Ceasing to Breathe'', both to positive reviews, and had minor UK chart success with the single "Dancing with the Enemy".
